I believe I’ve seen some cell phone types of dies before – but this is more of a DIY kind of project – I created my phones with rectangle frame dies – and markers! The stamps with these kiddos in them is by Hero Arts – and it’s a fundraiser set in their Unity collection!

Supplies for this project are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you.
The people stamps are up to you – or you could do pet stamps or whatever you’d like in yours. I’m going to see if I can pull this off with a photo to use for my sister’s birthday card. Shhh don’t tell her!
The sentiments for these could be stamped on the background, but if you do crazy textures like me, well – that just might become unreadable! I chose to stamp them on white and use a hole punch to cut them out.

These are the skintones used for all the children in these cards:

The dark wood is my usual go to for tables; easy to do, and it’s nice and rich so I could heat embooss the sentiment.

I tried a more blonde wood this time – more rough boards than usual!

And marble, for an idea for my Hex Art class students!

I adore this idea! How perfect are these images for this, too. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas! And thanks for the chance to get some of your mojo!!
OMG These cards are precious. Love that idea. And thanks fir sharing the skintones must try the purple addition.
Love this idea! I’ve been altering my stamps but it’s great to see different ethnicities in stamps. The sets are fabulous.
Sandy your coloring is so effortless. The cell phones were such a great idea!
This was such a creative idea! Love the final cards. Just amazing!
Sandy,,, first I have to say that your cards and creativity are just fantastic. I love each card. they are beautifully done. the last person I took a selfie with was with my son when the family took me out to Sunday dinner to celebrate my 69th birthday. on Sept 14th. It will be the first birthday without my beloved hubby who passed away in July. Your cards and sentiments chosen speak volumes.
Sandy, I love these cards, everything you do is always so original, I thank you for using your art to help bring about understanding and acceptance of all people. I appreciated your help with teaching how to color other skin types. You are a good person and you make the world a better place.
Sandy, I LOVE these stamps and your amazing cards…you never fail to come up with unique creative designs that are so inspiring! Thank you for sharing your ingenuity and always inspiring us.
The last people with which I took a selfie were my three girlfriends while hiking in Portland’s Forest Park a couple of years ago. Seems like eons ago now since I moved out of state last year and haven’t been able to visit due to the pandemic.
Love these cards and I love the idea of personalizing your sister’s card!
Thanks Sandy.
Ooops! I was distracted by your cards and forgot to answer. haha I tried to selfie myself to send it to my crafty friends. It did not go well. haha
I love the idea of taking a stamp and placing it in a cell phone. Thank you
Wow, there is no doubt that you are a rock star!
I love these cards! I’ve already bought 2 of your classes but don’t have enough copic marker colours yet to do them. Hubby has promised me a bundle of copics for Christmas so now I’m making notes about the different classes you have!
I love diversity for cards but I also love the idea of using actual photos, putting them in “phones” on interesting backgrounds for scrapbooking.
Honestly the last living thing I selfied with was my do. But human wise it was my best friend Lisa. She is a rock in my wee world and a super amazing friend. I am so blessed to have her in my life.
Dog….I meant to say dog. Her name is Hope. Bless you Sandy for all you do. You are so amazing.
Wow, incredible cards! How you were able to make a wood table, marble top from what appeared as simple brush strokes. And the cellphone idea using the stamps, very nice. You made it look easy and I am looking forward to trying this out! Thanks for showing us these techniques.
Great cards Sandy! Though your work is always pretty great! The cell phone idea is creative and you made them so unique with the angles! Thanks too for your continued work on the human rainbow! Bonnie
Love those cards!! Gonna have to try making some myself. Thanks for all your videos! I watch them all!!
These cards are beautiful. I particularly like the marble granite background. My last selfie was of my hubby and me while on vacation. Thank you for all of your inspiring videos!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cards and these wonderful stamp sets! I could watch you color for hours ❤️ I’m a full-time caregiver to my husband battling Stage IV Cancer. Crafting and cardmaking has been a Godsend for relaxation and distraction. You’ve inspired me to put so many fun things in my How You Bean jars by watching your masking videos
Anyway, thank you and thank you for the opportunity to win ❤️
Love these cards. It’s fun to see that colouring a background doesn’t have to be hard or complicated.
These are amazing Sandy! I can’t even remember the last person I took a selfie with??
Love the cards! I actually attempted to do a selfie my myself. I am not that great at taking selfies. I guess I need a class. lol .
Oh my! I absolutely love these cards! Great as usual Sandy! My last selphie was probably with my daughter. What a wonderful set of stamps these are.
I love your creative style. My last selfie was with my 8 month old granddaughter who was born on Christmas day.
What a cute idea for a card. You are so creative! I love watching your videos.
I’ve taken your Hex Class and I really enjoyed your coloring in this post. Great set from a socially responsible company. Beautiful job of coloring and creating the cell phones. (I would have die cut them out) I couldn’t have drawn this straight lines and matching rounded corners!
P.S.- I love your FB posts. Keep up the good work!
You make it look so easy. What a darling idea for a phone card and these stamps work perfect. Thanks for the chance to win. So very gracious of you.
These cards are spectacular. Your choice of colors is pure genius! Thank yo so much for sharing. As for selfies, I have never taken one. Not into having my picture taken. I was roped into someone else’s selfie a few years ago. A group of fellow employees were in an elevator and one of them quickly took our picture.
Love these and the idea to make them into phone picts is awesome. Thank you for so faithfully sharing your talents with us. Brenda West
Thanks for sharing! Loved the cute, creative way you used this stamp set!
My daughter, and the neat part was she grabbed my phone when I was trying to take a picture of a scene while visiting her. She caught me off guard and hugged me tight, while she took the pic. So now I have most wonderful picture of the two of us with the biggest genuine smile/grins on our faces!
I learn so much from your videos. Love the children cards.
These cards are so great! The last selfie I took was with my husband back when our lives were normal.
Amazing cards. What a great way to use those cute kids stamps. Love the wood and marble texture.
You are so talented! I love watching your videos. I wish I could draw and color just half as well as you can. Thanks so much for all the inspiration you provide.
I have only ever had one selfie taken with a person, it was my best friend and taken nearly 12 months ago… Otherwise all my selfies have been with my cat .
Stay safe
Blessings
Maxine
You are so inspirational Sandy I will try and do this idea justice
I think the marble background is my favorite too! You always inspire and remind me to think outside the box.
I love these cards! My husband is the last person I did a selfie with since this pandemic started.
I love these cards! Thank you for showing the table tops and the kids as Photos on cell phones!
Great idea Sandy. I love the card designs and the fact there is no need for a special die!! Thanks for sharing your process and these stamp sets. the little boys remind me of the two boys Maxwell and Finnegan whose running and hugging video went viral. Pure joy!
Sorry, forgot to add this: My last selfie was with my dog who died just days later. I’m not one to take selfies and I guess he wasn’t either, as I didn’t manage to get a decent shot of the two of us, but that just serves as a reminder that it wasn’t the usual thing for us to do. The photo isn’t as important as the memory, which will stay in my heart forever.
I loved seeing the characters of the children come to life as you coloured them – brilliant – thank you, Sandy!
These cards are just awesome, from the sweetness and innocence of the children to the amazing coloring and shadowing and the awesome backgrounds. They look like you could actually pick the phones up! So cool. I last took a selfie with my youngest son, we were making goofy faces like you’d do in a photo booth.
I love watching your creative process and learn from that. You always kick it up a notch and I’m always amazed at the end result. Thank you for your videos!
Love the idea of cell phone selfies and your creativity. When I saw the two little boys together, I immediately reminisced about my two sons and their friends playing together years ago. If only others could see no color through the eyes of a child and you. Thank you.
Sandy thank you for all the inspiration! I often start my day watching you create beautiful things. I am one of those who don’t think I’m very artistic but I love trying all new things. I’m an avid card maker and do create some gems. I love your ideas and varied use of materials and techniques. I always learn something from you. Love this cell phone card idea! The marble and wood technique is going to be fun to use on some card backgrounds. Thanks and keep sharing your talent and kind heart.
You continually amaze me. Your work is fantastic. TFS I last took a selfie with me grandbaby.
Absolutely outstanding, Sandy!!! If only our world today could be as “friendly” as these children are. I love all of them. I took a selfie recently with my 10 year old granddaughter – we have such fun crafting together. This is a fabulous stamp set(s) and I would love to receive one. Thank you for your generosity sharing your talents and treasures.
You are such a kind and loving soul and your cards always reflect that. I need to try that marble technique. Looks fun and easy. I learn so much from you. Thank you. Love, Hugs and Blessings.
I absolutely love these cards. I love how the sentiments on them look almost to be little cellphone grips that go on the back of phones.
