HOW did Black History Month not only sneak up on me but also end up nearly running past me!? Typically I make a fuss over a couple of diverse colorings here and on social media, but it’s been such a crazy month with things going haywire (I think the website is finally fixed!!), I hardly knew if I was coming or going.

And with this stamp set – I realized while recording the voiceover that I had made an oops – the “Sale” sign is on the INSIDE of the shop. As is the curtain on the door! ha! Well you can color the street on the outside if you win the stamp set, right? LOL!

I didn’t add the colors onto the screen for all of it, but here they all are in their fist of glory:

Love these ladies! If I were to attempt to color some of my friend, I would make them, my oldest friend Maria, my dear friend and second mom, Vicki, my friend Cindy would have to be the last one because she is 5’11” and then the other one would be my hilarious friend Carla!
Love your art, your spirit and your work ethic. Binge-watching your videos. Linda, Sharon, Margie & Leona are my friends who could walk in my door anytime en mass and totally be welcome.
Thanks,
You’re so clever…I love the store shelves! Thanks.
Your work is lovely and thank you for sharing how to do different skin tones. Our gang would be me Shelia, Debbie and Wendy.
My four friends would be Ann, Christy, Janelle & Deb. They are all very crafty and we would have so much fun to get her.
Anyone in their right mind would love to get a card from you Sandy.
I certainly would!!❤️❤️ Your work is amazing.
Sandy, my crazy friends would be Lee, Heather, Rosemerry and Marilyn. This is either a quilt or craft shop with a BIG sale!
Hi Sandy, my friends would be Julia, (a great crafty & mature Christian mentor), Shirley (a like minded Christian, crafty Mum), Cathy (a crafty lady, who God is calling me to stand beside & love though a tough time), & Tamara (a crafty lady who knows how to shop a crafty bargain!!).
Thank you again for sharing your talent & God with us!
Sandy first off thank you for your awesome inspiration. Secondly I would love to introduce you to my fabulous co workers, best friends and sisters at heart. LaFrances, Candice, Sanora and myself are not only colleagues but as I mentioned sisters. We have been working together for about 14 years. Having said that we three of us work in Buffalo, NY and the other in NYC as training specialists, so we don’t get to work together face to face that often, but if I must say the scene you colored would be us entering the office if we were all together! We have been through thick and thin and I would just love love love to bless them with a card with all of us entering the training room. Thanks and I cannot wait until your next video.
Cute card. The 4 names would be MaryLou, Wreatha, Rosemary and Chris.
Awesome
LOVE this Sandy…and I would use it to celebrate my group of crafty pals, Linda, Sherry, Debbie and myself. Thank you for showing us how to color up our friends of all shades and colors…you are amazing!
Got the comment to work, but boxes are still on top of each other.
Sandy Allnock
Can’t leave a comment! Only a reply and the box for reCapatcha is under notify me. it can be done if your careful.
When Eva, Alma, Ethel and Blanch go out, they really know how to have a good time. So do you! Great card!
You make realism look so simple! I am a skin-tone coloring newbie and have a LOT to learn. My four friends would be Andrea, Ronda, Friederike and Lydia.
I love watching all of your videos & this has to be one of my favorites. My four girlfriends are Doris, Elizabeth, Robin, & Amy.
Janet, my sister through friendship. Kathy my boss and little voice on my shoulder, Rochelle my mother, Donna my friend in heaven.
I love these girlfriend stamps. This one looks like so much fun. The girlfriends I would color are Diane, Linda, Judy and Cindi. We were just at the mall last week. I love watching you color! Thanks for sharing.
OMG You make this look so easy, I would absolutely love to be able to color just a fraction like you Sandy. This card is freaking amazing, I don’t comment on a lot of things but I felt I just had to say how much I loved this one.
Hi Sandy, I love colouring these girlfriends stamps(I only have a couple of them) and always colour them as the four ladies I have had as friends since my youngest child was born- we were a parents support group and still get together every week for coffee and catch up so thirty years this year their names are Sharyn, Megan,Kalissa and Tysha.
These ladies could be coming out of the shop and been caught by someone on the outside so guiltily saying hi there(not that you should be guilty shopping) and the window could look muted because it’s the inside of the shop so you’re looking at it through glass.. just a thought!
Such a fun card! And I love seeing you build the skin tone, I’m going to have to do a class of yours eventually on skin colouring but this card does remind me of a girl’s weekend where I was joined with 4 bffs for dining, homemade facials and footspas and a spot of retail therapy in Fremantle, Western Australia. I could definitely make these ladies into my Bffs. Thanks for your giveaway competition
Amazing no line coloring!!! I love this! My four girlfriends would be my sorority sisters Andrea, Roxanne, Katie and my sister Lauren
Ooopps….forgot my really good friend Amy. She’s not a crafter, but she is a friend from forever.
Great card, Sandy. I would include my friend Lupita, Anita,Cha, and Deb. All are crafters except for Lupita. She’s just a sweetheart. =)
Oh Sandy, I think this is my favourite of any of the AI Girlfriend stamps I have seen to date! I would love to win of course but, no matter who wins, we are all winners just for having you and your generous spirit (not to mention awesome talent) inspiring us. I see Debbie (she literally saved my life and is precious to me), Goldy (we we’re partners in crime in our careers and she continues to be my best friend although we live thousands of miles apart), Laurette (my Legion comrade and a true friend) and Carolyn (my newest crafting friend, our friendship hit us like a bolt of lightning).
We were, not we’re…sheesh!!!!!!
Your scenes always make me smile! Love the bright colors on the gals yet the softer colors on the background! 4 friends I would color? Toni, Linda, Pam and Wendy – we go back to the early 80s. They are all in L.A. and I have not seen them in a very long time.
I love the card you did, looks exactly like to of my good friends. You are such an amazing artist, I love your work and watching you create it.
Nice color on the skins. A lot of contrast!
Love seeing the #HumanRainbow posts again. Always inspired by your creations using that #.
This AI card is a hoot and I appreciate all the coloring tips, your card came out great! I would color this stamp to resemble my girlfriends Diana, Sharon and Tina, plus me. We called ourselves the Fab Four and would do monthly walks/hikes and then grab lunch. Two of us have moved out of state so I’m missing our get togethers a lot!
I’ll try this again. Can’t seem to find my comment. I love AI stamps. They are always so fun and full of energy. My friends that I would be shopping with would be Virgina, Donna and Gina. The fourth would be me, of course. Thanks for all the tips on coloring. I’m not very good at it, but you inspire me to keep trying.
I would color these for my crafting buddies that I miss so much since I moved out of state. We had a crafting camp twice a year and would all have tables together. I would first have Debbie who is my crafting bestie and camp roommate, then I would have our table mate Laura who is the biggest hoot ever(she provided a lot of our laughs), of course I would also include our fearless leader and camp organizer Carolyn who has a super infectious personality you just can’t help but love her, and then me since it would be about our little group. Thanks for the inspiration and chance to win!!! 😀
I love AI stamps. The names of the friends I am shopping with would be Virginia, Donna and Gina. The fourth would be me, of course. Thanks for all the coloring tips. I’m not very good at it, but you make me want to try more.
To have girlfriends to shop with is a fun gift. this card celebrates the gift! Thanks.
Hi Sandy, I love the AI Girlfriend series. It was fun to hear about your friends as you colored. If I won, the friends I would include the first time are former co-workers, Carey (afternoon cuppa buddy), Paula (great talks about any/everything), Jane (great for complaining and listening to complaints) and Shirley (best receptionist who made you feel special every time you came in, even if it was just returning after lunch). Did you know that Marcus Buckingham identified the thing most likely to correlate with work satisfaction. Not salary, position, sense of mission, boss. No, it was “having a best friend at work”. I was truly blessed in that category!
What a happy card Sandy, I so love the AI Girlfriends stamp sets. They are always happy stamps.
I would love to colour the ladies as Marijke, Sophia, Ank and Anneke, two are my friends and two are my sisters.
Thank you so much for sharing and have a great week.
Hi Sandy, I enjoy watching your videos and I absolutely love your ability to change a stamp from Caucasian to African American. You have a gift that not only displays your love of art but for people. When I watch your videos I feel that you are am example of what God’s vision of living in perfect harmony. I recently retired however the ladies that I met during my 30 years are the best group of friends ever. Their names are Beverly, Carolyn, Pamela and Latatia. If I could win this stamp set I would like to create a card for each of them to show how much they mean to me.
Sandy, I love that you represent all skin tones/hair types in your coloring. As a WOC, I gain so much inspiration from your art that reflects back into my own life! So, this stamp would definitely be colored as my crafting posse Tracie, Ruby, Mariam, and me!
Love art impression stamps and these ladies! Of course this is myself, Barbara, Sharon and Vicky, all heading into this shop to check out the scrapbook/art supplies that are hidden inside. Don’t worry about the curtain being in the wrong place, as we left our heavy winter coats in the coat room, so we don’t get too hot whilst we are wandering through the store!
I moved into a great group of neighbors when my husband was transferred. I’d love to let them know how much it meant for them to take me into their group.
Denise, Janis, Kathy and me. Love love your videos. Rosemary
I love the diversity! I’d color my three friends (they’re the same colors as me but we’re all different sizes, so that’s a kind of diversity! Jan, Roxie, Paula, Caroline and we’d be hitting antique shops!
That’s a beautiful card 🙂
I’m gonna send to my sister Alia ..
Thanks for sharing
Yup had a little trouble posting my comment. My besties are Patti, Jo, Chrissi, and Kelly. Jo is my crafting buddy. All my gal pals have a marvelous sense of humor and my two dogs consider them part of our pack.
Your coloring is amazing, as usual! My ladies would be me, Mary, Melody, and LeeAnn
Oh my goodness. This would be Carol, Angie, Jenny and myself. We actually have a girls night out this Thursday! We all attend the same church.! Love each of these ladies so much. They are all different personalities, but we mesh together so well, and we like to enjoy ourselves. We have been paint balling, crafting, sunflower festival, and so much more. They want to do an escape room next. So much fun.
What a fun card! Love the scene you created!
I’d color them as the 4 friends that get together and stamp once a month! Ardella, Laura, Denise and myself!
I kind of read this picture as these women are so excited for the sale that they are sneaking in early before the sign was put outside. (I already commented but I just wanted to add my interpretation of the picture!)
Cool stamp set . I would color Chris, Kris, Jennifer and Be ky
Hi Sandy! Thanks for all of your creative work and the sharing that you do to teach us! Just yesterday I purchased my first Hex Chart from you. They are brilliant! Thanks for this opportunity to win a set of these cards!
You’re one of the few stampers out there (that I’ve seen work from) coloring people in non-White colors. I wish more would do so. And it shouldn’t just be during Black History Month. It should be all the time, for all shades of skin tones/races. Yes, I know we color what we know and a large percentage of stampers are White women, but not all. So, thanks for the times you color non-White people. (Does anyone else have problems leaving comments due to the two squares at the bottom almost lining up? For verifying you’re not a robot and email comment)
Yes, Laura. The two squares, including the “I’m not a robot” box, are right on top of each other!
Thanks for making me feel normal! I’m thinking Jane, Theresa, Sandy, & Barb! I love crafting with those ladies. Great memories being made.
