If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I love Stacey Yacula’s designs at Purple Onion Designs! She’s such a good illustrator – and the images are really good ones for this technique I haven’t used in a while: layering. Figure out what parts are in the front and which are in the back, and layer them with a little adhesive between….and you get a really fun look!

So super cute. Love the idea of popping parts of the stamp. Makes a simple stamp look great. TY for doin this series each year.
What an amazing group of tags! It’s hard for me to believe that, after all the work, you are willing to part with any of these! Fantastic!
This whole series has been so fun to watch. But this last set is so awesome!! Your best yet! Thanks for all the inspiration. I love all the critters and the dimensions you achieved.
Love the idea of the layering even though I doubt I would try this since I hate to fussy cut… but these tags are so precious. Thanks for the great idea… P.S. the mini – chocolate books are so darn cute…yum!
Sandy, your Christmas tags are so beautiful and creative. These tags with fussy cut layers are really lovely. You reminded me that I have some Purple Onion stamps to use for Christmas. Thank you.
Oh my goodness, I love Purple Onion and I love these layered tags! Thank you so much!
Very cute layered images. My grandmother loved this technique and made us 10 x 12 layered pictures of old time Christmas scenes and 11×14 Santas, all framed and matted beautifully. Each picture had about 20 hours of labor, with dozens of tiny pieces. I treasure mine and display them every year at Christmas.
I had a photo of my 3 grandkids all standing in various places in a little river in the mountains. There were tons of rocks and overhanging trees all along the stream. I had 5 printed copies and cut them to make a little photo that was 3D just like your adorable tags. Everyone wanted to know where I got it done and was surprised how easy it was for me to make. I’m sure that everyone that makes your cute tags will be proud of their efforts also. The little chocolate bibles are a huge hit and will be made for a gingerbread house making party that is coming up soon for lots of kids (in the driveway – not inside). The candy mess each year is totally out of hand but so worth it. I’m sure the parent’s will appreciate even more candy for their kids. Oh well. I’ll say it was your fault.
Your work is so great. I love these tags. I have seen cards in the stores with the layering done and never thought of doing it but after seeing this..I think I must try it. I think I can do it now. Thanks for sharing your designs and your expertise.
LOVE, luv, Luv, LUV, LOVE these!!!
This made me smile big time. Oh wait… I’m still smiling. What happy tag/ ornaments are these! Really cute Sandy, when do you sleep?
The chocolate Bibles are super cute too. . You combined my two of my favorite things. Thanks Sandy 🙂
I absolutely love the detail on these. I love the truck one best.
Thanx for the week of FUN!!!!
I can’t even with Purple Onion Designs! They have the cutest images, and these are so adorable!!
adorable tags!
These tags are amazing!!! Love your attention to detail!!
OMG ! Your fussy cutting is INSANE!
Sandy, you do such cute things and you are so talented. I love watching your videos and taking your classes. But…I just read the email. What is the surprise??? Do I get a puppy??? (Don’t think my baby Kitty would like it, LOL!!)
lol! It’s a surprise for us to do – send me an email with your blog addy and I’ll send out info tomorrow for the surprise 🙂
Sandy, I love doing this sort of paper piecing. Did you use foam tape between the layers? Or did you just use adhesive to layer? I think these are the favorites for me of all the tags that you have done; although every one of them is a total work of art!
I used Xtreme tabs – http://salln.net/2ksJCKM
Foam tape is too thick, I used http://salln.net/2ksJCKM – and on some you can just glue the layers and it still gives you a little dimension too.
This is a great technique when you don’t have the dies- I fussy cut most of my images anyway and this adds awesome dimension!
So cute! Love all the dimension.
These are darling! Deborah Sanders says her pets like the tree and the truck. My two little dogs just like the bunnies themselves… they are both thinking, “Yum.”
You really hit this one out of the ballpark! Love the tags/ornaments!
Love them, I would be proud to hang on my tree and admire over the holidays…The chocolate bibles are awesome too, I’m really enjoying those craft videos
Thanks
These tags are so stinkin’ cute…I can see why it took longer to make but as ornaments they are worth it…..well done and tfs
Oh wow. Both projects on this day are amazing. I totally need to do those chocolate bibles for my ladies! And the coloring on your tags…. Stacy Yacula is one of my favorite stamp artists. I really want to hang one of her art prints in my grand kid room when I finally get around to decorating it!
Sandy, those tags are too cute. Must have taken a really long time to make but so worth it. The results are great.
While they have all be perfectly Sandy these are my favorite. I just go for 3d cards and tags.
The link for the nuggets doesn’t seem to be working . Could be me but both come up funsize.
Just fixed 🙂
WOWZERS! These are so CUTE! So much work went into them, I would definitely love to win one!
I’m wordless, these tags are so cute.
Super adorable and festive tags today, LOVE these critters from Purple Onion designs! Amazing copic coloring as always, and I love the dimension with pieces selectively fussy cut (you win the fussy cutting award!)
Just incase anyone notice my name is Jo not No. Lol x
OMG ! These tags are incredible ! It must be a lot of work but the result is worth it, they are stunning.
Stacey Yacula is also my favorite designer and I’m so happy to see your creations to get inspiration. My order is on the way…..

Oh, that little guy in the pickup truck! The tags are all adorable. And the chocolate Bibles! So creative!
Oh my gosh, these are little works of art! My heart went pitter patter when I saw these adorable tags colored so beautifully. They remind me of some of my favorite children’s book illustrations. TFS Hugs Kristina
So adorable, I love to layer stamps!
Love, love LOVE Stacy Yakula’s little animals! I’ve got almost all of them, and I can’t wait to try this for my 2 grandchildren’s gifts this year… and maybe one or two others! But I will wait to order, as you asked – we have to remember that some of these smaller companies are family owned, or run by just a few people… Thanks for the heads-up on that.
Was this the last set of tags? Boohoo – I’ve enjoyed this series so much every year – Thanks again!
Totally scrummy yummy tags. Do you ever sleep ? How you fit everything in to 24 hours is beyond me, these tags are my favourite out of your 6 day collection but I would never turn down any one of all these. Thank you for making the extra time & being such an inspiration to us all x
Thoughts & hugs to Michele x
So cute! And Inlove the Bible verse gifts. They will be fun to make for the Bible journaling group I belong to.
Thank you for sharing.
Why is “I love my truck going through my mind? Probably because you asked about the fenders covering the wheel wells, that’s why.
All the tags are Darling! I have really enjoyed this series! Thanks so much.
WOW! These are amazing. Not only cute images but the layering makes them so special. I just loved this series.
Wow Sandy! It’s a greath technique! All your tags are absolutely cute!!
I’m so sorry for Michele’s loss!
Hi Sandy,
I love your work you inspire me. The part above the wheel in England is called a wheel Arch. Keep on doing your Amazing Videos.
God Bless

No words good enough for this one, Sandy. These are adorable, beautiful, clever. I love making tags for that special someone. These are collectibles really forever and ever. Love. Thanks!❤️ I’m going to try this technique this weekend!
Just adore these dimensional tags. All the tags from the six days are amazing.
I love these tags, too cute, awesome ideal on the layering , will be praying for them at purple onion for God to be with the family during this time. Thank you Sandy.
Love every tag. If I were lucky enough to win one, I would frame it and keep it up year round.
Loved all of your tag tutorials..U r just so creative..being visually disabled impedes any detail painting for me… but I love acrylics and watercolor painting non the less..TY for taking the time to do this
Riley votes for the red truck cause what’s better than ears blowing in the bed of a truck, but Wege votes for the tree cause cats like trees, ya know! An outstanding job as always.,
My two little dogs like the bunnies…they are thinking, “Breakfast!”
