The video for today is a sweet little hedgehog with a spring crown of flowers….she’s ready for Easter Sunday church, don’t you think? It’s drawn on Desert Storm cardstock with Copics, and accents added in colored pencils.
If you’re a hedgie fan….good news: you can get a print or pillow with this piece. I ordered one of the tiny mini prints on the little stand, that is just so cute!

Hi I also watch your tutorials on YouTube. Especially, the watercolor tutorials. Have also bought you color charts for both copic and prismacolor. Loove these visual charts. Can see the all the colors in a beautiful way! Love It!
I’m a YT 99.9% of the time, unfortunately I don’t have time to read blogs. My quiet time at night is when I watch videos. If I had to read I would be sound asleep in 5. I do skim blogs when I can.
Oh wow Sandy, that video is amazing – I was smiling as I watched it!! So so fun! Love all the cards and the round up of hedgie videos too!!
Good Afternoon I’m a YTuber that watches to relax as I drift off to sleep. Time poor to follow blogs. But my email hinted to a wonderful world of hedgehogs.
I love the hedgehog YT and prints. I have Guinea pigs so I like seeing the little creatures being spotlighted. Your drawing looked so life like. The colors were perfect with the highlights. Keep up with your beautiful work.
So very gorgeous Sandy, I love your little hedgehog, she is so adorable. I always read first the blog and than watch YouTube. First I missed the video’s on wednesday altough I new that you did it with a purpose but later I appreciated the different kind of posts you do.
I think you must do what for you is the best, I love your work, posts and videos anyhow. Thank you so much for sharing and showing all the awesome hedgehogs and have a great Easter weekend.
Hi Sandy, Thanks so much for sharing. I enjoy both your videos and blog posts. That hedgehog is such a cutie. I purchased a print of it and can’t wait to get it. Have a blessed day, Jo :o)
Love the hedgehog card collection! They’re all different, but all equally stunning! (The safety video about glitter cracked me up – with the tarp and all! Bet even that is not enough to prevent cross-contamination with the rest of the house. Glitter has a life of its own!)
Sandy, the hedgehog video is magical and I love it. Your artwork is magnificent and I look forward to your regular emails. I’ve learned a lot from you and hope to be able to continue to learn. I love your work and I visit your YT videos and blog. However, I am a silent admirer and rarely comment on either. Thanks for sharing your awesome artwork. Hugs and blessings!
I have to confess that I typically scroll down to the video link and don’t read the email unless I want to know details about the stamps. I love the inspiration so these quick videos are perfect! I do like some with voiceover when explanation is needed, but I’m totally fine with these quick ones too. Thanks for all you do! Love this sweet hedgie.
I primarily watch you on YT because the video quality is superior (and I watch a lot of crafting videos) but do pop over to your blog when there’s additional content, like on Wednesdays. I loved the hedgie video, sometimes it’s all about watching the process and not getting step by step instructions, which you generously share on other YT videos frequently anyway. Thanks for all you do, create, share and the classes you offer, it has all been a tremendous resource to me in my crafting journey!
I’m not sure what your experiment is about. I love your YT channel. I learn much. I would hate to see you speed coloring without voiceover like too many others. It’s like they don’t want you to learn anything. I must confess I purchased one of your copic classes a few years ago and to this day I haven’t taken it. I don’t know if I could even sign in to get to the class. Too often life just gets in the way.
Your little hedgehog is just adorable !
I used to watch videos directly from blogs. But then I realized that if I was doing it on YT it was better for the creator, at least until YT changed the rules. So now, I still read the blog posts and then go to YT to watch the videos. Thank you for all the videos you post, it’s always a great pleasure to watch them.
Love the hedgehogs! Laughed a lot during Glitter Safety! I really should do more to contain that stuff! I vowed to not buy anymore, but what I have will last the rest of my years, and a few more lifetimes! Thanks Sandy.
The majority of the time I go to your blog for everything – videos, what you write, info, links, etc – and leave my comments on your blog. I like getting the email notices for new blog and Patreon posts so I don’t miss anything. As for the hedgehogs, the Spring Hedgehog is my fave!
I’m over at YouTube all of the time, anyways, (including your bible journaling channel) so usually watch your videos there. I didn’t want to comment in two places, since I thought your content was the same in both places. I do receive your emails, too, which is why I came here, today. I love your teaching videos, especially the watercolouring.
Hi Sandy,
I’m not really sure what your experiment is all about…. however, I watch you on YT, check out your blog and have taken your class on copic markers. I love everything you do and I love hearing your voice and the stories you tell and share with us. Because you are so special I am thankful for any videos you share with us and what you teach us, thank you!! and God Bless you.
I follow exclusively on your blog and watch videos from here. This hedgehog is special and you make it look so easy Sandy!
I’m rarely on YT. Just joined a few new classes on art-classes.com though!
I subscribe to your blog and generally hop over to YT. Voice overs are integral to videos such as yours. Watching you draw a hedgehog is amazing..you have talent…I don’t! Just not the type of video I’m interested in (makes me jealous, truthfully).
I am a follow Sandy Allnock kind a gal, no matter what the medium or technique is. I am more into a Bible journaling than card making, but I learn something either way. I am more into watercolor then Copics, but I learn something either way . Just keep producing. I follow YT, Two Facebook pages, Feedly for the blog, and Instagram, so I get a mega dose, but it is all good.
I visit the blog, watch the video from the blog, then jump over to the YT link to do a thumbs up. If I had a blog I would want people to see what I post but I would also want them to thumbs-up my vids. So I try to ‘do unto others’ since I so enjoy all your work.
Love your new experiment. Although I prefer the voice-over and detail cause you have a good way of explaining things but I will now visit your blog more often as I see there are choc-full of goodies over here too!! Thank you Sandy, love watching and listening you work! hugs!!
Unfortunately even if I did a voiceover for this, there might be 1 or 2 who would ever attempt it—-even when I post advanced Copic classes, signups are barely worth the time producing the classes. So I’m trying this as a compromise for those who keep insisting I make videos showing my fine art, yet spending my time on efforts that bear fruit seeing others actually create art. ❤️
I confess, I’m one who tends to watch the YT video and not pop over to the blog (laziness being the major factor). That said, I like your new approach and think it is worth giving a longer trial period. My only suggestion would be to make the link to your blog more prominent in the YT notes; if I didn’t also receive your email, I would likely not have noticed the link or realized that it led to a blog post.
P.S. The hedge is adorable!
I love this! I really enjoy watching videos like this where I can just see the amazing art created without hearing the instructions. It’s like a zen video! Now to go order a print for my niece who has a hedgie named Potato. 🙂
Hi, Potato!
These cards are so cute. Love them all. Thank you for sharing
These are all so cute Sandy. Absolutely adorable!
All the hedgehogs are adorable – loved the videos you provided – hadn’t seen the one about Glitter Safety – what a hoot! Thanks for sharing that – I’ll be smiling all day.
