I’ve been sitting on a little secret for a few months now, but the cat finally gets to pop out of the bag!
I’ve been talking with Olo Markers about creating a set of “Sandy Allnock curated” markers….and today’s the day! Olo now has a set of markers on their “Artist Picks” page that are my own selection….it’s a beautiful rainbow collection, and the colors mix and layer well to create LOTS of new colors, too!
My excitement is not just about a set of markers, or that I have TWO classes that use just those colors….but by golly there are PRIZES! Watch the video and read on for more about the giveaways.
Tutorial: How to make a hex shaped sketchbook
Watch the video below and scroll to the end to leave comments or questions — or click HERE to watch it on YouTube and leave comments over there. I read both dutifully!
New around here?
Welcome to my new friends coming over from Olo!! I’m excited to have you here for a visit.
A little about me – I’m an independent artist and online instructor, living just south of Seattle. I use a TON of different mediums, and if you follow along with my newsletter below, I’ll send you inspiration every Saturday – two videos a week, lots of ideas and new classes to get your skills to wherever you want them to be!

A page just for Olo friends
I just created an Olo page over on my teaching site that contains the courses, link to the markers, the hex chart, and a super Getting Started video….if you’re looking for a one-page-fits-all, everything is there. Click to visit!
Two marker courses
If you’re an Olo marker user, two of my classes are now taught in that brand:
Imaginary Creatures is a level 2 class that’s so much fun – silly images, colorig practice….and lots of puns!
Chroma Coloring is brand new today – it’s partway between level 3 and 4; there are sketches to trace, but it’s not a full line drawing to just fill in, so you’ll need to do some tracing and drawing yourself.
And remember if neither of these appeals, there’s always MANY MORE classes on alcohol markers, though most are using Copics – but all brands are welcome in all courses!
Tap on either image to go see them and watch a short video preview to see which works best for you!
CLASS GIVEAWAY
I’m so thrilled to say I’ve got some fun to give away….4 seats in the courses listed above! It’ll be winner’s choice so the 4 winners can pick whichever they’d like to study! Winners will be announced in my September 1 newsletter.
If you’ve already purchased the course over the next couple weeks, then your course fee will be refunded if you win, so there’s no need to wait to get started learning if you’re excited to do that right now!
To qualify to win:
- Subscribe to my newsletter; form is above. (That’s how you’ll hear if you won, and I don’t want you to miss out!)

First of all, thanks for all the wonderful classes you offer and the amazing free videos on youTube. I love them all, lol.
I would take the Level 2 course “Imaginary Gritters” as I am still a beginner. My favorite subject are flowers, but I am also interested in learning shading for cute little stamped images (christmas).
Have a wonderful day!
Hi! I love painting animals especially birds ️.
I liked his ig and channel and I love learning and improving.
I would love to study the chroma coloring course . Thank you!
Your curated OLO marker set is just what I’ve been looking for! And at 15% off- FANTASTIC!
I usually color flowers and Christmas stuff. I am too intimidated to try my hand at “real art” of my own. I would love to try the bokeh technique or your Imaginary Creatures class and your underwater backgrounds class looked amazing as well.
You inspire me! Thank you for the OLO recommendations!
I’m soooooo excited about this giveaway! I’m a total color nerd and have wanted to try OLO markers since they were introduced. Your two new courses are my incentive to spend the OLO mad-money I’ve been saving for more than two years. If I am lucky enough to win a course I would choose the Imaginary Creatures which is a total new direction from my favorite coloring subjects – Flowers and Food. Thank you so much for this great addition to your lineup.
i love plants to color. I am going to purchase the chroma class and your set of Olo markers. I am interested in the glazing you are going to teach us. But if I won might just get the imaginary creatures for the fun of it.
I love to color animals! I’d pick imaginary creatures as it’s a lower level class. ☺️
I love anything wild… and I love everything that you do…. thank you for sharing your gift
Fun colors!! I would pick the imaginary animals. I like animals and flowers as subjects
Congratulations on your Olo marker set . I am currently still building my collection. I love to color and try to draw plants, mainly succulents. I also love birds, bees and butterflies. If I would be lucky enough to win the giveaway, I would choose the level 2 Class because I’m still a beginner. Level 2 may even be hard but the critters look so cute . Thank you for the opportunity and good luck to everyone who enters
I love colouring flowers. If I won I would choose the imaginary creatures as long love the idea of creating something unquie.
Congratulations on having your own colours too.
First of all BIG CONGRATS on your marker collaboration with OLO! OLO’s half markers are very appealing as you can reduce travel/storage space, create less plastic waste. Most of the times I use brush nibs only so these are better suited for my needs and budget.
1. I love to color mostly florals.
2. I am going for the CHROMA class, as I hope to get the markers later this month and I would love to learn how to mix these colors to stretch the set, your secrets about dew drops and just for the fun of making this amazing sketch book.
When I buy the markers what would be the best way to reach out to you to get the charts?
As always thanks for all you do and share with us! Have a wonderful rest of your day!
Congrats on the Olo Markers collaboration Sandy!
Animals and florals are my favorites to color.
I’d pick the Chroma class. Learning how to mix the colors like you is something I hope to learn! Thank you for the contest!
I am already a newsletter subscriber. This Chroma class looks pretty fabulous but I’d probably try the imaginary creatures class first.
I don’t draw well but I would pick flowers or critters to draw.
I already jotted down the colors in your set and will compare to the OLO markers I have! Great selection, and I can see what I’ll need to fill in to complete the colors in your set!
I love coloring critters the most, and also flowers! I would pick the Imaginary Creatures class because it looks very fun!
Favorite coloring ocean scene or cute critter stamps drawing usually flowers. Chroma coloring class.
Wonderful news, congratulations!
I don’t draw, but I love to color all types of stamped images. I love gnomes, flowers, Christmas, people, etc
Of the classes, since I don’t draw I would choose the imaginary creatures class
I love to draw/color images for cards, and then the larger images vary a lot. Vintage, flowers, scenes in nature, etc. I would chose the hex sketchbook class Love the concept of learning to layer my colors more.
While I would love to learn the Chromacolor , I am pretty sure my skill level is more of the creatures so either one will do!
As far as drawing – I don’t. Can’t draw a stick person without it looking really bad (yes hangman was fun as a kid).
Thank you so much for all you share!
Congrats Sandy! Amazing collaboration!!
My favorite subjects are flowers and critters: I love them on my cards!
I think I would chose the Chroma Coloring class 🙂

Congratulations on your curated OLO set Sandy! I’m so excited for you. And I’ve already ordered them! I like drawing flora and fauna and, because I have already done Imaginary Creatures in colour pencil, I would choose Chroma Coloring.
My favorite subject to draw is anything in nature and I love hexagon course and I love the imaginary creatures course! It is so hard to choose because I love them both. I think it would have to be the hexagon if I could only choose one.
Congratulations on your big news.

Whoo-hoo! Congrats on your partnership with Olo – that’s exciting! My favorite subject to color is flowers, but really, when I find inspiration I become obsessed until I get it out of my system. I’d go with the Chroma class – I really like the samples shown in the YT video.

Hi- congrats on your OLO marker set! I have every COPIC and haven’t tried OLO yet. My favorite thing to draw is landscapes with animals. I would choose the Chroma class if I win because I love the owl that you colored!
What a thrill for you to have your name on your Olo marker picks. My favorite subject to draw or color is…you name it I love it so long it is realistic. If I win this contest I would prefer the Chroma Coloring class. I need more practice with blending and mixing colors. You’ve really turned me on to making my own sketch books so I am itching to make the hexagon sketch book.
Wow congrats Sandy on your own Olo’s!! I look forward to learning about alcohol markers through your teachings and thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge of art!
1. I like to try my hand at various things but tend towards florals.
2. The Imaginary Creatures class speaks to me the most because it sounds so Harry Potter-ish 🙂
Congratulations on your collaboration with olo markers! You must be thrilled.
I would love to take your chroma class. I enjoy painting landscapes and florals.
I’am about to jump in the deep end of the marker pool and think your class would be very helpful. I’ve enjoyed learning from your YouTube channel, thank you for that. Your teaching style is very enjoyable and encouraging.

Congratulations Sandy! I already have the full set of OLO markers but now I’ll need to go and flag these as “special”. I love both of your classes but I think I would probably choose the imaginary critters as my favorite thing to color are critters. Need to still work on my drawing skills. Just need more time in the day to do all the things right?
CONGRATULATIONS on your new, Signature,OLO Marker Set!! That is So AWSOME!! Thank You So Much, Sandy, for this opportunity to win a free class!! I just love coloring cute, little critters, and try to add fur or spots 🙂 I purchased the Jump Start Class this spring. I would love to take the Imaginary Creatures Course.

I think the imaginary creatures course would get me out of a rut and allow me to explore!! I do love to draw leaves and flowers!!
Congratulations Sandy on your collaboration with OLO! You are an amazingly gifted artist, and great teacher. I love to color floral images. If I were to win a seat in one of your classes, I would choose the Imaginary Creatures class since I am still learning the basics! Thank you for your generosity!
I love to draw people and landscapes and seashells/water. I would pick chroma coloring as I’m intrigued with creating neutrals!
Congrats Sandy!!
I like to draw nature settings and would like to improve my color blending. I would like to take your Chroma Coloring class.
Sandy, we are so blessed to have you as an art instructor! I have completed several of your classes to-date, and I don’t know how I’m ever going to afford to buy them ALL! While I have enjoyed drawing landscapes, plants, and trees very much, I have to say that my favorite subject at this point is animals. It amazes me that I can use the skills I’ve learned to make them very lifelike! For that reason, I expect I would go for the imaginary creatures class. Drawing what I see is pretty easy, but I really need to exercise my imagination a lot more. I think this class will do it. Thanks for all you do!
Congratulations on the collaboration Sandy, very exciting! I’m going to give it a go on making this hexagonal sketchbook and take the new class, I really loved the drawings you have for this class. Thanks for the chance on the giveaway!

Awesome giveaway. Thank you. I don’t have a favorite subject to draw as I try to do whatever I can. I would say people are my least favorite. That’s still a work in progress. I would go for the chroma class. Thank you again
I don’t think I have a favorite subject to color. I do a lot of rubber stamping and my interests range from floral to cartoonish. Pretty difficult choosing between the two classes….hmmm, I think I’d go with the imaginary creatures.
What a generous giveaway! Congrats on the Olo Markers collaboration!!
1. My favorite subject to draw/color are flowers because they were one of the first things I learned to draw.
2. If I win this contest I’d pick the Chroma Coloring class because I would love to learn more about mixing the colors to save $ on supplies and have less environmental impact.
