How to color a teeny tiny koala

January 4, 2021 by Sandy Allnock 6 Comments [featured_image}

Teeny tiny anythings are cute. But a koala so tiny it fits into an envelope, with room to spare for flowers? That’s TEENY tiny!

Supplies for this project are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you.

Video

Avery Elle’s recent release with this cutie called Sending Hugs is so sweet! There are dies you can use to cut out the images, but allow me to do what I do best – show you how to do some simple masking and use coloring to tuck the cutie into the envelope!

Watch on YouTube

I made a square card out of it, tilting the image at an angle, layered up some colored cardstock and popping the image on dimensional adhesive.

On Instagram

As is sometimes my way, I have a second video – a quickie with just music – to show an alternate card with the same stamp set! Look for it on Facebook and Instagram later today – and while on my IGTV tab on Instagram (or videos tab on Facebook), check out some other shorts I’ve shared!

    This is so lovely! And it’s so interesting about the colour relativity. Thanks for the teaching as well as the inspiration.

    Ohhh, he/ she is adorable. Saw the cute fox over on IG then as I looked into my inbox there was this cute koala. You do such a great job with gamsol / baby oil, I don’t quite now what I do wrong but I don’t seem to get such a neat look with it. Have watched your video with instructions several times, use cotton wool in jar, only small amount of fluid. Just think I may have to stick with just pencil crayons. Oh Happy New Year too x

    I was drawn to this card because of the texture on the envelope! I love that effect! I also am ready for art/crafts that aren’t Christmas related. The colors are so cheery and bright. Thanks, Sandy
