I’ve had a little idea in my brain for a while, to sketch out what goes on in my head. This isn’t all of it – nothing could be – but it’s a bit of a peek at the creative chaos that goes on! (And this blog post accidentally went live early if subscribers have seen this before…now the video is there!)

I’ll be using my TWSBI Eco pens on this drawing, the F and EF size nibs; it’s on Blick’s bristol – definitely not a paper I’d recommend for fountain pen work! I need to use it up though, just a few sheets and I can gain some space back in the studio!
The left “pie chart” shows how I spend my time. A little over a quarter on YouTube videos, approximately the same on classes, a little on social media. Of the things you don’t see: 1/3 on private projects for friends, family, and my home; plein air and sketching; and idea-brainstorms!
In the center section – decisions about the project at hand. Stamp set, medium, schedule, storytelling, recipient, theme/season, art lesson (color, technique)…..not all in that order!
The last piechart is where my art projects go. Friends and family, public servants, patrons, and art buyers!
