If you’re a fan of Tim Holtz’s bird crazy stamps, you’re not alone! Whenever I need a little smile, I just stamp one and color it – just for fun! And I’m pretty excited to have gotten a little shoutout this past weekend from Tim himself! 🙂
I just love these birds! There’s something so expressive about them – what fun! I decided I wanted to do something using all six, but they don’t exactly fit on an A2 card, so this piece will go on the wall in my craft room. It has some adaptations to the stamps to make them extra-cute!

I made a card with the same technique and one of the bird crazy stamps – the whole card base is watercolor cardstock, so it’s one layer. I added some Glossy Accents to the glasses, too! This card will go with my gift in a crafty gift exchange…I think it’s perfect for that! The card base for this one is the Canson.

Hi Sandy, would love some inktense pencils but…erm…I don’t have a single crafty friend :/ Moved back home 4 years ago to help my mom with caring for my disabled dad and to care for my nan, so next to that I just craft on my own lol (is that even possible) so yeah definitely don’t want to sound all poorly and all that, but crafting is me, myself and I hehe. Anywhooooo, love your video’s and techniques you share so keep em coming 🙂 x
Love watching your videos. I have been practicing my water color lately since your latest videos have inspired me! The only friend I really have to craft with is my cat, Gypsy. She tries to help with every project. Lol. All my friends come to me when they need something crafty done!
Brilliant use of Bird Crazy! Can’t wait to get this set. My best crafty friend is my Stampin’ Up! demo, Lisa. Though I have moved away, we stay in touch on the phone and email. I still miss crafting together and wish I had more crafty friends in my new city.
Love your art work for your workspace. Love those birds. Very clever adding the various crafty items to the birds. My favorite crafty friend is Maria. She lives in New York and I live in Washington state and we get together most Fridays over Face Time and we craft. It’s always a good time. I do not have the intense pencils and would love to win them.
I am so smitten with you and this card and the art with the six birds is WOW WOW WOW!! I want to be you when I grow up 🙂 My best crafty friend would be Audrey Petitt. She is wonderful and very talented!
I have a group of crafty friends who are the BEST! We get together every week to visit and make cards. I love these birds! Have the set but haven’t used it yet. Now I’ve got some more inspiration!
Thanks Sandy!
Wow Sandy! I love this! Thanks so much for sharing your techniques as well as what works and what doesn’t work. I would have to say my most craft friend is my niece, Krystal!
My very first craft buddy was my Mom! Through the years, I have surrounded myself with craft buddies and they all add something different to my crafting world. My two best are the K girls- Kathy and Kay. I have one warming up in the wings as the ultimate favorite- she’s my almost 5 year old granddaughter Savannah! She can already stamp and use my embossing machine!! Such fun!! Thanks for a chance to win the pencils!
Adorable!!
I have several best crafty Friends! Makalah, Shana, Emily and my Mom! 🙂
Wow! I’m totally going to show this to my 10 year old…he’ll LOVE it! He tries to craft with me often. 🙂
Thanks for the fun giveaway, too….and happy early birthday!
My best crafty friend is a girl I met at my job back in 1988 and we are still best of friends. She is just like my sister. We do everything together…laugh, cry, holidays, travel. But most of all we share our crafting which is mostly card making. Time spent with her makes me happy.
Although we don’t get to craft together as often as I like, my fav crafty friend is my daughter. Thanks for the change to win!
My best crafty friend is my daughter! We both love stamping, painting, drawing, being messy in general!! We would both love to play with some Inktense pencils!! 🙂
Sandy, Tim Holtz knocked it out of the park with this stamp set. You are knocking it out of the county with every project you do with them! Don’t stop! I learn so much from your videos, besides totally enjoying your process.
My favorite crafty friends are my daughters-in-law, I love it when they join me in the studio or in the kitchen or wherever.
Awesome cards & thanks so much for the techniques! You are amazing Sandy!!

Hopefully they’ll come soon. Have always wanted to try the Inktense pencils. Their colours are so very rich. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my! I love, love, love how you altered the bird images. I would love t have a fraction of your talent and your imagination. I don’t have any crafting buddies, but I hope to someday find a kindred spirit so we can share ideas and supplies. I’ve been wanting to try the Intense pencils, so thank you so much for the opportunity to win, and thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Your projects are gorgeous! My best crafty friend is…my mother!
Oh, my goodness! You even have one of them holding a Copic bag! I LOVE IT!! So fun, Sandy! You’re amazing! ♥
My sister Holly is my favourite crafty friend. We have learned a lot about crafting together, and while we focus on different techniques, we have a lot if fun together. I’m very blessed to have her in my life.
All I can say is WOW! I was playing with this set yesterday! You are so inspiring!
Wow, I have several crafty friends, including you! I usually start my morning by thanking God for all he has done then watching a Sandy post. I love to craft with my friend Brenda and my cousin Val. I adore the Crazy Birds although I don’t have them yet and I’m now trying my hand at watercolor pencils. I appreciate the opportunity to win Inktense Pencils, been wanting to try these!!!
My best crafty friend is called Mary. She’s great fun to make things and share ideas with and we are on the same crafty wave-length! Thank you for the chance to win, I gave all my watercolour pencils away when I was having a break from crafting and I need to get my hands on some as I am now back crafting again.
TH Bird Crazy stamp set if my favorite of all times. By the time I get around and purchase I am sure it will still be favorite of all times. Sandy your project is awesome!! I really like the coloring combinations you used and the free hand items you added….just AWESOME!
My BFF Crafty Friend is: PATTY !
Unfortunately I don’t have a crafty friend(s) I wish I did but don’t. I do however really enjoy watching several designers make cards and do art journals. It always make my day to watch you, Vicky P., Kristina Werner, and Amy (MFT) make cards or art journals.
Your card is adorable! Love this fun bird! I craft with one of my kitties – Kiwi. Sometimes Honeydew and Snowie will join us, but Kiwi is nearly always in his cardboard box in my craftroom, cheering me on – or sleeping LOL. I would LOVE to try the Inktense pencils – I’ve read so much about them and love how they colour! Thanks for the awesome giveaway! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
I love the little bird with the bag of Copics and all the other little details and accessories that you added. This video was really fun to watch. I wish I had a crafty friend, but it’s just me.
My friend, Cheryl, is my best crafty buddy. We try to get together every week for a play day. In fact, I am meeting her this morning! Yea!
Sandy – as usual, you da bomb! These Crazy Birds have been living in my craft room for a few weeks, but with St. Pat’s Day and Easter, I just haven’t had time to ink ’em up – but today is the day! This is a good reminder that one little pen can make a lot of little changes in a stamp. Thanks again!
Great idea for craft room decor! I would love to try the Inktense Pencils. I have worked with many mediums but have not tried the Inktense Pencils. Thank you for sharing.
My 82-year old mom is my best crafty friend! We both like to make cards and often trade supplies and enable each other. Her cards are great!
To tell you the truth, I’m the crafty friend! My friends just aren’t. LOL!!
That is so sweet Sandy. I love it.
You are just SOOOO talented! My fav crafty friend is my mom!
My bestess crafty friend, I have know since elementary school, she is the one who got me addicted to this world. My dearest friend Nancy.
My best crafty friend is Doug E Fresh, my cat. Anytime I go in the craft room he loyally comes in and climbs all over everything. Sometimes this hinders getting things accomplished, but he needs love. Occasionally my dog visits, but doesn’t want to help. I don’t have any human crafty friends. Everyone likes my work, but they don’t want to learn.
Wow Sandy…I love it!!! Thanks for sharing!!! And thanks for the chance to win inktense pencils. Hugs, Laila
