HOW did Black History Month not only sneak up on me but also end up nearly running past me!? Typically I make a fuss over a couple of diverse colorings here and on social media, but it’s been such a crazy month with things going haywire (I think the website is finally fixed!!), I hardly knew if I was coming or going.

And with this stamp set – I realized while recording the voiceover that I had made an oops – the “Sale” sign is on the INSIDE of the shop. As is the curtain on the door! ha! Well you can color the street on the outside if you win the stamp set, right? LOL!

I didn’t add the colors onto the screen for all of it, but here they all are in their fist of glory:

These are fabulous!! Loved your coloring and of course, these friends would be Lee Ann, Laurie and Kim with Me of course!! Hope you are staying safe with these crazy times!! Coloring is our safe place and hoping my friends and I can get to go out together soon but #shelteringinplace right now!!
You make a good point about no line colouring! I’d also like to know who started ‘fussy cutting’. We used to just call it ‘cutting it out’. I know the term comes from quilting but it means something different. It means centering a motif or image in the center of the quilt piece. This of course could apply to paper crafting but that’s not how it’s used. Makes people like my mom and me annoyed because it confuses people who do both quilting and paper crafting!
Sarita, Yvette, Alexandria, and Mary! So grateful for you remembering Black History Month and valuing diversity. It means so much to me to see myself and my friends Represented in the crafting community.
Oh my goodness, great challenge to color these ladies. I must try coloring it for my lovely friends, Sharon, Gerry, Mary Francis, and Jayne. I loved your store any which way you colored it. Soooo cute.
My bestie lives 3000 miles away on the opposite coast and we miss each other like crazy! though we talk once a week, its not the same as having her close by like we used to be 🙁
Loved the girl friends card, and always love AI stamps too.
Thank you so much for helping us see how easy it is to add diversity to our craft projects. So refreshing! The crew i would colour would be Kameka, Nadine, Marion and Ada. Girlfriends for LIFE!!
My gal pals are Lynn, Chris, and Cat and they have been with me through thick and thin, and I don’t know what I would do without their friendship, love and laughter, they keep me going, even when I don’t think I can go any further. They are tried and true, and I wouldn’t be who I am without them. Smooches, girls.
I have a group of WONDERFUL ladies I stamp with that are the best girlfriends and I adore each and every one of them! Vicky, Mary Ann, Janice, and Linda are all warm, caring people who have greatly enriched my life. I have known Vicky the longest and we always tickle the other ladies with what they call our “old married couple” act. We finish each others sentences and Vicky will ask, “where did I put the thingy?” and I know what she means and usually know where she misplaced her supplies!!
What a fun card this is! For me, these ladies are: Kell, Kyra, Helen and Tessa!
I love that stamp set. My best friends are Donna, Shirley, Malinda and Lisa.
I’d color my best friends, Lisa, Leticia, Kait and me!
What a fun stamp to color. I love how you incorporated Color pencil! As always Sandy, thanks for sharing your talent and inspiring us!
Really fun card!! My book club friends are Shanta, Nicole, Sharon and Karen
I loved watching you paint your card. My girlfriends names are Jennifer, Sheila, Ingrid and Keisha. We worked together for many years. Now that we retired we still meet regularly.
I would be coloring these 4 wonderful ladies to resemble my friends Sharry, Vickie, Donna and Sue. What fun!
Hi Sandy, I loved seeing this video! I’ve seldom seen women of color in cards and I think you did a fantastic job (as usual). It was so interesting to watch you color them. So, I’m throwing my name in the ring in the hopes that I win one of the stamps so I can try my hand at it. Thanks for sharing your talent! ❤️
I so admire your skills and love the way you’ve brought this stamp to life. I would name them Anne, Natie (she’d be the short one ;), Claire and me. We would definitely be crowding in to the front door of our other friends house. Surprise!
The names of my friends that I would color are Sandy, Mary Ann, Rhonda and myself. I love watching your videos as I always learn something new.
Even inside out, your ideas are delightful
i would love to colour these as my girlfriends Marianne, Laila, Oddrun and Astri
I love this card and I love all AI stamps! My ladies would be Cora, Sheila, Tammy and Shirley!
This is fantastic no matter where the curtains are. These could be 4 friends entering a craft store, as they look quite excited! Their names are Ivette, Dina, Lauren and Becky.
Great job on bringing a different look to a stamp set and presenting another way to optimize it. I love watching you bring a stamped image to life!
My GF tribe, Lori, Jennifer, Sandi, and Vickie, who are coming up with all kinds of ways to encourage our friend Shirlee, through cancer. She only wants snarky upbeat encouragement cards, and THIS set would fit! Thanks for all you teach us Sandy!!
I so Love to watch you color! I am getting better, but aspire to be just like you! I would color these as my friends Amy, Kendra and Alicia. It would be so fun! Love, Art Impressions!
Lol I would of never thought it was backwards , looks great to me . I would color them after my co workers .
I would color these from my friends at Church! So blessed to have them!!!
What a fun comment requirement. Two of them would be Kim and Alicia they’re a mother and daughter, who have been such dear friends for many many years. When I taught card making classes they took my classes oh, and we still get together and do that once in awhile. Another one would be my friend Dee who is a hoot and a half. And the last but most definitely not least, would be Christina. My sister-in-law. She passed away last August but she would totally be in there.
You always make such great cards. My friends in the picture are Sharon, Toni, Rachel & Penny – we don’t catch up that often these days but it is always fantastic when we do
Such wonderful stamp and coloring! My besties are: Mansi, Angela, Lisa and Shweta.
I have a ladies dinner every Friday. We run errands sometimes, do nothing sometimes, and help each other out in whatever mischief must be had. This card would definitely be for Lyn, Melissa, Kelly, and Karen.
How much fun is this???? Let’s see here…this would be Tabitha, Shelia, Deborah and me! I would probably try doing these ladies busting in on another friend for her birthday.
I have lunch with my besties every month. We are all retired and still get together. We consist of three white and two black beautiful women. I want to paint something special that reminds them of us.
