The distressing technique works on cards too!

I might be the first person to distress with colored pencils – if you know someone else doing this, let me know!
24 Tags of Christmas 2018
Each year I make 24 tags – and give them away in a random drawing! This year I’ll be trying things a little differently; in the past I picked 2 people from YT comments and 2 from blog comments….but I found a lot of the YT folks never came to find out they won, and I had no idea how to reach them in many cases. So…this year, it’s all about blog comments where I can at least reach out to winners! So leave comments on each blog post this week for the opportunity to be in the drawing!

So stinkin cute, Sandy! Another lesson I’ve learned from you…distress with pencil crayons….so much easier and quicker than ink blending (I really appreciate that). Thanks Sandy
What a clever idea! I love the way you used colored pencil to distress these tags. Definitely a technique I will try out. Thanks for all the great ideas, Sandy!

Cute tags. Love the little elf’s. Thanks
Great technique
Oh, WOW! A new technique to try! Am I right in thinking there is nothing on the cotton ball (no baby oil)? This would be so cute to do for a small hot chocolate gift for coworkers.
I have to say that in my early morning stupor, I saw the title to the video, and thought you would be distressing with coffee… So glad it was with pencils! These tags are wonderful! And the card you made – I love the colors you chose for that – so vintage looking.
The tags are so cute and we just got a coffee cup yesterday! Love watching you and the tips you give! Thank you so much!
Great way to distress with colored pencils…more color choices. Thank you for sharing.

So fun to watch how you make them become alive.

Very cute, and a new technique to try as well.
Loved these tags. I will miss this series. Thank you so much.
These are just as cute as the rest! Love the distressing technique.
Love this idea. Can’t wait to try this. Yay!!!
I have been watching your videos on You Tube and I have learned so much from them. I love the idea of distressing with colored pencils and using baby oil to spread the color around. I hope to take some of your art classes soon. I just started bible journaling a couple of years ago and I am 68 years old. I guess you are never too old to learn.
I especially love the “distressing” on the card. Using colored pencil and a cotton ball prevents getting the stray marks from the edge of a blending tool. Thanks for the great idea!
Too cute, these coffee-themed tags and card! While I personally don’t drink coffee, I love the distressed look on these sweet little stamps. Bravo for an awesome series! Hope I win one.
Oh wow Sandy, these are just the cutest!!
Sandy love the tags. Thanks for doing this every year. I always look forward to it.
I’m always dad at the end of this series. Another great year. This stamp set is also great and one I have. Love the distressing you did. Thanks for always doing this series.
Awesome technique today Sandy….I love your easy going teaching videos….you are a natural at teaching. These tags are adorable.
I’m going to try out your distressing techniques, very cute tags
More cute tags! I’ve really enjoyed this week. Thanks!
A cute and clever stamp set for the coffee lovers we all know and love! And an interesting distress technique to try for those of us who could use a little more control in spreading the color. I’ll drink to that! 😉
Love these they are climate neutral! So much Christmas stuff has a snowy theme which is great, don’t get me wrong but when you come from the southern hemisphere where it doesn’t snow at Christmas time, it’s had to find a lot of appropriately themed items.
Tags are super cute and I’m going to try the distressing with colored pencils technique.
Love the idea of distressing with colored pencils, can’t wait to try it. These tags are so cute & can be used anytime of the year!
