Quite a while ago, like last year I think, someone linked me to Lake Michigan Book Press – where you can have a custom sketchbook made! I’ve been saving up for a while, and selling a few paintings from my fine art site pushed me over the edge and into getting one of the Sketch-a-Day books!
As it says – it’s for a sketch every day; you can get yours with whatever kind of paper YOU want for whatever medium you’ll use. I wanted Arches, because, well, if I want to see how texture techniques actually work, it doesn’t help to do them on paper that I won’t be using for finished paintings! I also got one of the Kraft books to take out sketching with me, if anyone wants to see that in action leave a comment and I’ll do that soon.
