I love coloring animals – and I especially love coloring animals that are unique! There are a couple ostriches by now, but this set is the one I picked up to try out. The sentiment on my card is one that’ll be really useful…”Things will get better.” Seems in the days we’re living in, I have lots of friends to encourage with that stamp!

While I had a blast painting these cute ostriches and their little scene…I want to be sure you know there’s a swear word in one of the sentiments in this set. I was a bit shocked anyone would do that, but, it is what it is, right? I’ve removed the stamp from my set, and when it makes it eventually into the giveaways I do, someone will get it without that one.

I have sooooo many friends I could send this card to…..lately we’ve all wanted to bury our heads in the sand!

Brilliant, funny card, gotta love their fuzzy hair little faces, their so ugly their cute. Thanks for lifting the mood today, well my mood anyway.
Now I’ve got a huge bone to pick with you ! What do you mean I’ve actually got to pick the brush up for myself & stop just watching your videos ? You never mentioned that bit before, I thought I was becoming quite an expert too !
Great painting – really humorous for a friend in need. Lots of understanding given in how to start a painting such as this thank you Sandy. Also that Google is a good reference for when you don’t know what something should look like our where they might live etc. TFS :O) xxx
Super fun and cute and realistic-ish scene, just as wonderful as your copic and pencil artwork!
So cute. Awesome scene. I love the added details with the fine pen and hair.
Love this card!!!
I love everything you do. These guys are fantastic…immediately brought a smile to my face. What a great encouragement card.
Great card and you are absolutely right when you say that only practice while make your artwork better and not by only looking tutorials. Thanks for again a lovely card and have a nice weekend.
How many times have I wanted to put my head in the sand!! You created a great card that many would enjoy receiving
Great tutorial and cute card. I do like these ostriches and glad you picked them. My favorite thing that you do (besides talking through all your wc strokes and choices) is you make the cutest cards that are special for particular moments in the lives of others. You pick the sentiment that seems perfect for the card which matches so well with the feeling the images portrays – like ostriches sticking their head in sand to escape a bad situation. Just love following you. And you did the right thing with the naughty bit – not drawing attention to the people selling it, not talking bad about them, but just quietly doing your right thing. You are a very good example of standing up for your beliefs and sharing without preaching at people so that you try to make yourself better than others. You are so walking the good walk.
Oh My Gostrich! Your painting made me smile!
Funny stamps – even if there was a naughty word among the sentiments… These days we just have to be glad it wasn’t a naughtier word! Thanks for the great tips on watercoloring backgrounds – I’ve been reluctant to do very many, because of that whole “blooming” thing… but maybe I’ve just been impatient… I will keep trying, because I’m retired and I have the time. And I thank you for taking the time to show us!
