Welcome to the bloghop! If you’re just checking in here, you’ll want to go to the top of the hop here and check out why part of this banner is in DANISH! 🙂 Here’s the sketch for my card….
I turned it into what I think is called a Kickstand card – let me know if it’s got another name! But…the front is cut short and a panel stretches to the bottom. It’s not a particularly popular type of card format, but thought it might be a fun thing to try out. I used one of the MFT images in the sets being given away on the bloghop – so be sure to comment and get a set for yourself!
Copics used to color the image: E53, E51, RV69, R37. Stamped the image on white and ran it through my Big Shot, trimmed it as a pieced dress. I debated whether it ought to say “my head” inside – but the stamp in the set says “It’s YOU!” so I decided to go with that! 🙂
Your next stop on the bloghop is my friend
Charlotte, at her blog: At the Home of Charlie
She’s the one who started up the Danish OSH, so you’ll want to go see her post for sure! I happen to know she’s got some Peanuts going on – you’ll smile! She does speak English, so leave her lots of love and OWH encouragement! Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting me….be sure to leave comments on all the blogs to qualify to win – there’s a winner of an MFT stamp set on EVERY blog, so get chatty!
Love the colors with the kraft. I think I once had a dress like that…;D
What a lovely fun card! The colours are just wonderful together!

Happy 4. of July. What a wonderful card. Greetings from Denmark.

I smiled when I saw this card. I have a small stack of cardstock cut for cards that I somehow scored wrong, leaving one side longer than the other. Now I can trim the pieces and have a use for them. Thanks for sharing this idea!
I love this card! I am thrilled that Denmark has a similar project – it is a fabulous way to help the troops by helping them keep in touch with their families.
Hello, nice card I like it very much. Love your blog, Happy 4th of July 🙂
That image is too funny and I to love the patriotic colors on the kraft cs. This hop is just too cool. thanks for making it happen
As always you hit it out of the park…love the fold, the design and the sentiment placement…and the hop is so fun!!!
Ha ha ha Sandy, when I saw the sentiment the first thing I thought was “My head” too! -looks like a lot of us thought that! I like the embossing on the pieced dress, it keeps the white from looking stark with all of the deeper colors.
Great Card – thanks for a perfect sketch
Love your cute card. Beautifully done. Really like the material in her dress.

It would just have been so fun if you had put the text “my head” inside the card 😉
Very unique card but also very lovely..
I like this card, very unique. You had me for a minute when I first saw the dress. I thought you did a magic copic technique to get the pattern. This blog hop is such a great idea so excited to see all the cards.
The kickstand card design is very unusual – I hadn’t seen one before. Love the colors on the Kraft paper. Very fun.
What a pretty card, its nice to know we have scrapsisters so far away with the same heart for the deployed that we do. Greetings from Denmark
The sentiment is great!! Very useful for OWH cards.
Sandy, you always leave me in complete awe of your amazing crafty talents! I love how you created this unique card! The sentiment is wonderful, and SO perfect for an OWH card! I LOVE this one!

Sandy, I’m missing my head most days so I think I agree with your thought to use those words instead. Your color sense always amazes me.
Sandy, this is fabulous!! Thanks for this great bloghop!!
I’ve never trIed a “kickstand” card, but seeing your card has inspired me to try it. I love the craft paper and the dress. It’s a very charming card. Thanks for sharing a new card technique.
Great card. I must try a kickstand card. Thanks for the inspiration to create.
OH MY Sandy! I saw your card and almost decided to skip this sketch. But I stood firm and made myself tackle it and I’m glad I did. I have never seen this particular fold/design but it was not hard to do and I like the results. Your card is gorgeous and inspired me to get it done. The sentiment on your card is just right! I love it!!!
hugs,
Ellen
Sandy, you have such a cute card. I love the inside sentiment and the neat texture of the dress. Nice work. Thanks for the fun hop!
Hi..What a nice card you´ve made…I just love the saying on the card…well I just love sayings in english, because there is just someting, that sound great in english…and not so much in danish…he he he..
Another great card — really like the colors and the sentiment is just perfect. Thanks for a putting the bloghop together.
Love the cutting and embossing you did on the dress.
Love your card. Love this bloghop! It’s been so much fun. Pat K.
Wonderful colours – really like your card.
Love the shape of the card and the texture of the dress!
Interesting that you used the kraft paper to line your card – kraft is my favorite card base and I always assumed I’d need a lighter liner…
So, kraft paper’s ok for the troops to write on? Hey, I guess I’ll head over to the new FORUM and ask…. thanks, Sandy!
Denise, white/cream is usually what I use…on this one I wanted the kraft to peek out of the kickstand. This kraft is light enough to see a pencil on – there’s a couple colors of kraft that are way dark and you still need to line that 🙂 (And of course anytime you’re in doubt, liners are always good!)
Great card. I haven’t seen this style before. I always see great ideas on your blog. Love the sentiment!
Love that fold and the great colors. Fun bloghop!
I would have loved if you have say your head.
Christina P.
