Muppet hair, treat shopping, and flowers!

January 9, 2021 by Sandy Allnock 4 Comments [featured_image}

Hey-o! What a week, huh? For lots of us it’s been a crazy rollercoaster – some things that were elating, others soul-crushing. What did I do to cope? I made art. And more art. And more art.

I’m not making art about what’s going on right now, because I can’t even process it. But I started making things to lift my own spirits. And one of the results of that is something I turned into a new class so I can share some of the spirit-lifting with you – maybe it’ll help us all make it through?

I made a quick little YT video to tell the YT people (since lots don’t pop over here to the blog) – I’m including it so you, too, can weigh in – do I look as much like a Muppet as I feel? What should be my Muppet name? Ha!

Ok on to the class – it’s a sequel to Copic Wildflowers I, which I named so ingeniously Copic Wildflowers II! I’m so innovative, huh? This new one has bouquets in it instead of sprigs of flowers – and they’re different flowers….so once you start making bouquets of these, go back to the lessons in CWI and try bouquets with those. Or maybe a big bouquet with all 10 flowers!

    I love your hair anytime, short of long(er) . I need a haircut too, we went just like March last year, in lockdown the day before my hairdresser would come. Hopefully he can come on the next appointment that I made in februari. But with the crazy Britisch mutant, that also reaches a lot of countriess in Europe you never know.
    Ohh my, Vienna looked like a child who couln’t choose wich candy he liked most, great to see.
    Your new Copic mini class looks gorgeous.
    Thanks for the vlog, always great to see your lovely face, stay safe and have a wonderful weekend.

    I don’t know if you need a Muppet name, I think you look great; maybe you should just name your hair. My daughter, who is not a hair stylist, has been bravely cutting my hair these last 10 months. The last time she cut my hair (outside in the yard and all masked up) she said, “Oops, I think I went a little too Uma Thurman on your bangs”. If I was going to give my hair a Muppet name, it would probably be Miss Uma. Thanks for the inspiration and the smiles. Wishing us all peace. Be well.

    Yes, a crazy week – and I got some new stamps and other card making goodies in the mail – yay! So that’s where I went to escape the crazy and crazier news… Love the bit with Vienna Shopping for treats! She’s so polite – my Schipperkes would’ve been jumping into the bins!!!
