For this technique – it’s just a white pencil on black paper – with a little white gel pen for extra bright highlights if you think you need it! Watch on YouTube.
This technique worked for such a pretty little Christmas card too, didn’t it?

These black and white tags are my absolute favorite of all your tags this year! My Christmas cards are black and metallic this year. I would love to win this set. I would not use them. They would be keepsakes.
I love all the tags! I have to make them all and would love to win one as a keepsake! Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win one.

These look awesome!
These tags are pretty and unique. I was glad to hear you say that you “didn’t quite know what to do” when you were beginning to color the sides of the lanterns. That is reassuring! I would not have thought to use lanterns as tags, but they certainly turned out well. Thank you!
All I can see here is a Halloween theme…the black flame candle from Hocus Pocus! It’s a really pretty effect on the black paper.
The lamps are just gorgeous!
Gorgeous! It is amazing to me what you can do with a white pencil and gel pen! Absolutely wonderful!
Black and white…so classy

Sandy you never cease to surprise me. These black and white tags are so elegant. I always looked books illustrated with pencil drawings when I was a kid. These tags remind me of that type of art. I love tham.

These tags emit such a serene feeling. They make me think of the traditional song Silent Night.
