You can see the video of the mount HERE; at the time I didn’t know if it’d work with my big camera, but it does – just needs a weight on the stand, plus footage imports upside down, so your software needs to be able to flip it. You can see in the monitor that the image is upside down; but if your software is able to turn it 180degrees, it works great.
Mounting Unmounted Rubber Stamps
I’ve had a surprising number of requests about unmounted stamps, and they usually come in right after I post a video with Purple Onion Designs stamps. I can use Purell to clean my scissors?! Say what? didn’t know that. I also have many wood mounted stamps that I’d like to continue to use so I very much appreciate that video!
I use the grey because I like to stamp the image with staton first before I mount it, that way I can see the image while its in my storage sheets and while stamping. Thanks for the info on the tack n peel I didn’t know that was a thing. Lol
Thanks for the great tips, Sandy! BTW I use the EZ Mount Thin because I can then use them with my Misti without removing the black foam mat. I am thinking of getting a second Misti and covering the acrylic with Tack and Peel so I can use it with unmounted stamps. What I need is a way to store unmounted stamps. I use the Cling Mount pages by Crafter’s Companion for my cling stamps but I need a way to keep my unmounteds. Can you help?

Thanks! I wanted to keep to standard notebook size so I can use the Unikeep binders, soI put a #110 lb weight cardstock in a plastic page protector and use these as a background for the unmounteds I have coated with Allene’s Tack it Over and Over. You don’t even need Tack n Peel if you use this! They stick great to the plastic backing and to the plain acrylic block. Plus you can stamp a registration page onto the 110 lb cardstock and use this as a guide to which stamps you have where.
Love it when I get tips! I’ve used EZMount and Tac n’ Peel, but it’s the first time I heard of the Purell trick. Gotta try it. Thanks for sharing. We can always pick up new info. BTW, that camera mount looks cool, but I don’t do videos!

Sandy, I have some stamps that were intended to go on wood blocks. So they are really sticky. I want to be able to use them with the MISTI; and not mount them on the wood blocks. Is there anything I can put on them so they are not so sticky? The way they are now, they leave a sticky residue on the MISTI. Thx in advance!

Oh Sandy, I learn so much from you. I almost didn’t watch this video because I don’t have any unmounted rubber stamps but since it was you I watched anyway. I’m so glad I did because of your little tidbit about Purell cleaning your scissors. Who knew!

Sandy, I have been searching for a solution to this issue with the unmounted stamps for a while. The tack n peel looked good, but I want to make stamps to share….so easy mount is the better option! Thank you!!!!!
I use Alene’s Tack It Over and Over glue on the back of my unmounted rubber stamps, It’s cheap and super easy. Just put a thin layer of the glue on the back of a sheet of rubber stamps. I find it easier to do before I cut them out but either way works fine. The glue goes on white and when dry, it turns clear. Usually only takes a few minutes to dry. I put the stamps on parchment paper so the glue doesn’t make a mess.
