It’s HERE! World Watercolor Month! I love an excuse to really dive in and focus, and I’ve been preparing for a while…I hope you’ll join in on the fun, too!

The prompt for today is “Rejoice” – so I got loose with my paints and did a happy little floral sketch in my favorite watercolor sketchbook! Check it out in realtime:
I limited myself to the Daniel Smith essentials set; if you’re just getting started this is a great set since you can mix SO many colors with just these six.
The sketchbook is an Indigo Paper Arts one – it’s 300lb, double the weight you might be used to with regular 140lb paper. No need to tape it down, it won’t curl and buckle! Maybe a little wave but not much – and you can paint on both sides!
WORLD WATERCOLOR MONTH
As always, Charlie over at Doodlewash is hosting the month of fun. He has prompts if you need ideas (I may or may not follow them day to day!) and he also has a zipper pouch with art from each of the Ambassadors – this is mine….go get one and raise money for Dreaming Zebra!
I’m also fundraising again – last year we raised over $2000 by donating a portion of all watercolor classes….they’re on just a little sale so more of the money can go to Dreaming Zebra!
