Winter Juniper Berries in Copic Marker

January 28, 2019 by Sandy Allnock 14 Comments Filed Under: Copic Intermediate

I know some people think I automatically have an idea for everything – but not always! I liked the idea of the stamp set, I love coloring little round berries. But I colored this several times, and though they came out pretty – they didn’t teach a thing. Til I turned it into a winter scene!

Video

Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

Look at all the yummy wintry blues!

A simple card design can keep a colored card panel the feature – no extra embellishing, just popping the panel and leaving a little of the white card base showing. Badaboom badabing!

You are such an inspiration! Love the simplicity of the juniper berries. I have this stamp, but have used the sentiment more often than the berries. I’ll give it another try.

Absolutely stunning – the tears were pricking my eyelids with this one & the sentiment absolutely right for me today. The berries remind me of blueberries in the snow in the winters of my Swedish childhood. Even the branches with their brown stems reminded me of the blueberries. Probably totally botanically incorrect but that’s what the image brought to mind.

Lovely card! I really appreciate ideas on how to color snow; I find that a challenge!

Gorgeous! I have his lovely stamp set, but hadn’t been thrilled with what I made with it so far. Never thought of making a scene out of it! Once again, thanks for the inspiration. Can’t wait to try this.

The wind here is just howling, straight down from the north – so yes, I can easily believe that juniper berries would be falling onto the snow! Love the look of these little berries, half in and half on top of all that whiteness. Love Technique Tuesday’s botanicals.
