And now…for something completely different.

I didn’t really know where this one was heading, but…I had been playing with Inktense pencils. I tried this with a few images, and not all worked…but the snowman came out fab. *note this is a really old post and video – I’ve learned a lot since then!
A note about the linked brush set: It’s a 1, 6, and 12 – instead of the 2, 6, and 8 that I bought individually. You don’t wanna know what I paid for mine individually at the art store. Eeeep!

This is so cool! I love everything you did; the graphic background is great; the snowman turned out wonderfullly. TFS.
I just found this on Utube and I absolutely love your snowman – he is amazing! I have signed up to your blog and can’t wait to see further art from you! Thanks so much!!!
Loved the card and the video!! Thanks for the vid on Inktense. I do love me some Inktense.
Oh, gee, Sandy! I sat hypnotized as I watch the Snowman reveal through the Inktense Pencils. You are an artist in the most respected way I can use the term.
Really loved this, Sandy! Your colour choices are amazing :o)
Oh my gosh Sandy…amazing!
Sandy, This is soooo pretty! Love that patriotic scarf. 🙂
I absolutely love the background. The lines and circles are so fun. I’m going to have to get out some watercolor paper and play! TFS.
Sandy this is so light and airy I just love it. what a feeling of whimsy. I have to get some of those inktense pencils. the colors are really brilliant. Love your demo’s they are always great and so creative. How are you doing sandy OK I hope.

Wow! I just love this amazingly creative piece. I found this so inspiring – my Inktense pencils haven’t seen the light of day for awhile and they just might have to come out to play. I love that the Inktense pencils are available as open stock and can be purchased one at a time. I’ve gradually expanded my collection with the colours that I like to use.
Original and so beautiful…Just love it!!
Just darling! The additional graphic details look like dancing bubbles in the winter night!
Cheers!
This is amazing! Thank you for always sharing and teaching!
Love how you created the softer colors, Sandy! It’s an adorable card!
Sandy-I just purchased a stamp set from Stampendous called “snow buddies”. Sitting here thinking about coloring, and then I see your video! Wow, this looks fun for a non-artist. This card will be for my watercolor artist buddy who happens to love snowmen. Thanks for sharing your talent
This is fantastic! I really enjoyed watching and listening to you work with the Inktense Pencils!
Sandy this experiment was fantastic! I love the colors and how you did the border/circles to frame the image, did you do the sentiment by hand or is that a stamp? Thanks for another way to color and image!
The sentiment comes with the snowman – I was lucky that it fit PERFECTLY into my randomly drawn border section! Crazy 🙂
I love the artistry of this, Sandy, and you have inspired me to get out my Inktense pencils and USE them! So pretty!
I’m finding it fascinating to see you work your way through this image. I found a very good deal on Inktense pencils this summer, so I bought a set of 24. I really must play a little more with them (after we have settled in our new home, that is).
Dear Sandy,
I can not tell you how much I LOVE this card!!! I love the colors, I love the whimsical architecture style – and the way you explain in your videos!!! Great card!
Really enjoyed watching you think outloud!
Great video. Love that you did a watercolor video and enjoyed seeing how you did a architectural background. It worked great with that snowman stamp. TFS
OMGosh… what an awesome card…. you are crazy talented !!!
Love your “crazy” mind…I’m hoping some of it will rub off on me if I watch enough of your videos. Fantastic technique.
Sandy I love your architectural snowman and I love to watch you work-I learn so much every time I play one of your videos-and I also like the chatter because it helps me know what and why you’re thinking of or what and why you are not doing something-so please keep up the chatter and real time speed-thank you;-D
fabulous technique! i love this video and all the freedom you expressed it in.
Very whimsical. Keep creating I like seeing your results.
I LOVE this technique, Sandy! The outcome is gorgeous! You are so talented and inspiring!
Very cool!
Thanks for the architectural themes and for using Inktense. I have some but haven’t used them much. You are so inspiring.
I love your Copic videos but this one is amazing – out of Inktense pencils. I never realized you could get pastel-like colors from Inktense. I knew about the vivid colors, but this delicate piece is fabulous. I have to got to dig out my old set. Thnaks for experimenting.
