Weathered Postcard Technique

July 20, 2014 by Sandy Allnock 189 Comments [featured_image}

Today is the kick off of the StampNation Summer Beach Vacation event with a Blog Hop!  Each of the StampNation Dream Team members, along with some of their crafty friends like me, are hopping along sharing cards inspired by the first challenge, “Beach Style”!

Since it’s me, you know I had to make a video to show you how I did this – it’s SOOO easy!

    Great technique – especially for those of us who have not perfected the blending of Copics!

    Although I spent my teenage years on the East Coast of Florida, I never had the desire to try surfing. I LOVED to water ski on the intracoastal, and I loved swimming in the pool. But I never really enjoyed the sand and salt from the beach. (My dad wa a dermatologist, so “laying out” in the sun was NEVER allowed!)

    Very cool 60s retro-y card! I have not surfed. Lived in Hawai’i for ten years now, plus we vacationed here numerous times prior to moving here. Yup, me no likey things that eat people either. I will stay on land where I belong 🙂

    Great technique. Great card. The only surfing I’ve done is on a boogy board (sand surfing, I think it’s called). And, it’s been a while since I’ve done that!
