Watercolor a no line hedgehog card

March 21, 2020 by Sandy Allnock 45 Comments Filed Under: Watercolor

Happy Saturday! I’m excited to bring you a video showing how to watercoloor a sweet little watercolor hedgehog card with Hedgehog Friends, along with more cards using the latest Pretty Pink Posh release!

Supplies for this project are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you.

The little set of hedgehogs has these little guys in a number of positions – I might need to make one catching butterflies with those little paws outstretched!

I use Daniel Smith watercolors….the sky is Cobalt Teal Blue, grass began with Serpentine, added Sap, and then added Green Apatite. For the hedgies, New Gamboge had a little Aussie Red Gold added to it, Quin Rose, and their bodies are Yellow Ochre.

More cards!

Paulina just had her little bΓ©bΓ© – so of course she has baby stamps in this collection! I made her a little card with Little One, coloring it with just BGs and keeping the card clean and simple. Hopefully she got it in the mail already! Note there are lots more baby-themed dies and stamps from Pretty Pink Posh, so if you have lots of mamas in your Facebook friends list….go peek around!

I used the sweet little Ladybug Friends set to combine with a waxflower plant from my Copic Wildflowers class – I think the propoortion is off but thats ok, right? Heehee!

These pretty Tulips are colored in an IGTV video here (Instagram’s video feature) !

Oh Sandy, you’ve created such a beautiful array of cards & now I’ve had to increase my wish list. The rattle looks like it could pop off the page. I adore the little ladybug on the flowers & the tulips – wow! You are an artist in the truest sense of the word. I am so glad I receive your videos as I learn a bit each time I watch. Congrats to Pauline & her sweet baby boy!
