One of the questions I see a lot is about masking – which image gets stamped first? How do you know? Is there even an easy way to set up a scene? In today’s video I show you how to do these things with four different cards, and while there’s no coloring of them – you can see the scenes develop in the stamping phase! I filmed the stamping before leaving on my recent trip, then added the colored cards while I was hotel-bloggin’!

The coloring on my cards is, well, a bit over the top. You certainly don’t NEED to do full backgrounds if you stamp complex scenes! Lots of these would be great as CAS images – simply centered on the card with the images colored. But….yeah, I kinda needed to get a little crazy with these 🙂

Adorable. I definitely need to check 8UT this video. I am getting into more complex backgrounds and I’m sure I will find good tips from you.
Sandy, This was incredibly helpful! I took the OCC masking class and learned a lot. But, I’d never thought about stamping the masks first! Eureka!!!! Crazy Dogs…. get ready for some serious accessorizing. LOL
Sandy love your videos and coloring and backgrounds everything you do. Can you tell me where you have a video about doing the rocks?
Thanks

Love each one of these adorable scenes! God has blessed you with a great gift. Thank you for sharing it with us. 🙂
Love how you went all out on the backgrounds of the cards. The information about masking was very helpful. TFS
I think you are amazing! Wow!
These are all amazing! I especially love the glowing cauldron!
Sandy, you can really tell that you love doing this. The wonderful details you include on all your cards is amazing. Your videos are so helpful, thank you!!
Incredible masked and colored scenes you’ve created! Thanks for the video of your masking tips. I already commented on your IG, but I would love to learn how to color “light” like your glowing witches around the cauldron card. Maybe Copic jumpstart class 2.0(?).
Great tips! I definitely like laying out the whole scene with masks before starting to stamp. I have always piled my stamps on top of each other, but using the masks looks a whole lot easier. Also, I would love a technique video on how you made the witches faces and cauldron glow. I know it is a shading trick, but I’m pretty sure all my witches would have looked like their faces were dirty, now glowing. Please share how you do it. Thanks!
Your help videos are so amazing. You always make things so easy to understand and follow. I am really really bummed though cause I remember seeing the witches card hoping a coloring video would be out shortly for the glow trick. Also the rocks being done with copics. Watercolor is easier to move around for rocks but copics? Grrrrr…..guess as you say “practice”. TY again for all your helpful hints and instructions. God Bless you. Have a GREAT weekend
Thanks for sharing this. Very helpful
so much fun Sandy!! I love doing multiple maskings! As a matter of fact I think it’s such a fun challenge! TFS
AWESOME technique! Thanks for a GREAT video!
(read this in a whiney child’s voice) BUT I want to see you color the leaves, and the rocks, and that wonderful “glow”……The scenes you create are always so amazing.
Just brilliant! Your imagination is off the charts amazing! I love these cards especially the ogres and their cave. Thank you for the video and the steps to break down a card with masking. I should take another look at my stamp sets with small images and see what I can come up with.
Thank you for the Misti process. My mind is humming on new opportunities! Time to play!
Sandy You are such a talented person . Every time I watch one of your videos , I am amazed . Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to try something new . I watched your masking video and loved how you completed the cards . Whoever receives them will definitely feel the love .
Enjoyed getting a Patron sneak peek of this last night. Those ogres are going on my wish list for sure!

Wow. These cards are just stupendous! Your scenes are truly works of art. How do you decide who to send a card to like that, one you’ve spent so much time & effort on?
