TGIF, peeps! It’s been another crazy busy week, and I’m so looking forward to the weekend. So much so that I’m sharing the fact that I’m already packed for Stamp Club tomorrow in this video… LOL! Usually I’m throwing everything together an hour before I leave….but this got me ready nice and early. Thanks, Interwebs!
So tell me, how big is YOUR crop bag? Do you have a system for knowing what to take, what to leave home?
And of course I need to share a card today too….and I had a big camera fail! I took this card to a going away party for a friend yesterday, and didn’t check the pics before I left; fortunately I snapped a cell phone pic while it was on my desk, because I just liked it so much. It’s for my friends leaving for LA soon; she’s a tiny gal, and her hubby is a extreeeemly tall – and I thought this might look like the two of them taking on the big city! I know God will be going with them, and I’m so excited for the next chapter in their life together. Yay for Mel and Nathan!

Yes , Sandy i do the same thing overrpack=over whellmend thanks for the video now i pick two projects and only take the supplies I need
You are making me re-think what I take to crops. I can have up to 4 bags of stuff. I always take my tool caddy which is similar to your bag but divided in the middle. I like yours as it seems to be a little more flexible. I tend to want to bring a ton of stamps and all my inks. I do use my Distress inks for backgrounds, edging and stamps. Always love your videos. Thanks.
Hi Sandy, I am so sorry my fingers were too big and hit the dislike button instead of the like button so please forgive me, it should be like and I couldn’t figure out how to change it! I love how you pack for a crop or for stamping club, I am also one that does not have a store nearby :-(. But I do have a few friends that come over for special occasions, One is a newbie and is just learning and I’m trying to teach her everything I know, Then I have my daughter-in-law who is not new but is not old either at the cropping aspect, And she loves to make cards as well as scrapbook. Then I have one who is along the same levels as I am more then intermediate but not quite advanced. I am always the one who brings everything but the kitchen sink, I hate to be far away from home and not have what I need and I hate to borrow something from others! But I have revamped and I don’t take as much but I do bring along quite a bit of stickies and write on there what each one may need, if it needs anything at all and I can do that when I get home! Hope you have an awesomely blessed crafty day and get a lot done, BUT, more than anything is that you are getting away and having some downtime, ENJOY! (sorry so long)
Sandy,
This is a great video! Being the list maker that I am, I’ve actually made a generic packing list for card-making days that starts with 3 card sketches. So, I first decide what 3 types of cards I plan to make that day. Then I try to prep work in advance, like embossing, so as to not have to tote that baby with me. Finally, I go through my check list, compiling all the goodies I will need for those three cards. My main “craft-cases” are a rolling bag that was actually meant for embroidery supplies, a 12 by 12 plastic box for paper, and a work tote that zips with mesh exterior pockets.
Loved seeing how you pack.. Looks like a fun time. I am one of the people with NO craft store. Would really like to know where you get the cardstock you showed. Can it be ordered on line. Love the daily videos. Thank you
Loved this video!! I never really know what to take to the stamping group. This was so helpful for me. Loved the way you packed so much stuff into such a small bag. Hope you have fun.
System….what system???? Although my craft bag is HUGE, I’m the one who is constantly borrowing stuff from others in the group, much to their chagrin. Guess I’m lucky to still be invited.
Fun video! Amazing what we can fit into small spaces! So far all of my cardmaking gatherings are done here, at my home, and I love having the gals come by. We do, however, have an RV, so I have a travel tote that stays packed all the time and is in the trailer so I am able to make cards on adventures away from home. All I need to decide is what stamps to bring, grab my markers and perhaps a little paper (if I have something specific in mind before we head out) — but not too many supplies, of course, because if I did that then there wouldn’t be any ‘need’ to go and find the local craft store!! LOL!!
I really like the new video format – THANKS for all your hard work!
Boy you got a lot in that little bag. After watching the “Scrap Wrangler” video last year when you said “sit and assemble” (cut up scraps to sketch sizes, put in plastic bags with the sketch and sit and assemble), I now cut everything and I sit and assemble when going to a craft outing. I just never enjoyed dragging all my stuff that I might need, packing it when done, and then bringing it home and having to “unpack”. I don’t like unpacking after vacations either…… 🙂
It would be interesting to see what items you actually used and if you wish you’d taken something else. I always overpack like crazy when I go to play days.
