Note: this video uses digital stamps no longer available. I’ll be working on revamping them and making them available on my teaching site later in 2021.
No line coloring has been a fluctuating trend over the last few years; I’ve tried it once or twice, and thought I’d give it a try again!

I decided to use a Cosmos digi to create today’s cards, and started off just printing the images to color.
But when I got to that step – whoa – the lines on the enlarged flowers became crazy thick! Big disappointment. So I got out my light box and did a pencil tracing instead, and suddenly realized I could do that with watercolor too! (If you don’t have a light box, try putting your papers against a window. During the daytime, of course!)
With Multiliner pens I’d recommend choosing a stamp line that you use a lot, and figure out which pen is the right width of pen will match them. Then you can always fix a little goober if you need to. And if you’d like to download a free cheat sheet so you can see what sizes best match up, I put together a quick pdf: Multiliner Widths ….make sure you print it at 100% so the line widths stay the same. (Read below for a pen giveaway!) (Ohmygosh is this a long post!)
I’m going to see if I can find any of these Chrysanthemums for my garden – they’re just so pretty! HERE is the photo I used for my color inspiration!
For my cards, I added them to simple black card bases, stamped a 2-part sentiment and tied on some ivory May Arts silk ribbon—it just adds an elegance to it, and also covers that white space in my design without detracting from the flowers.

The watercolor version came out just lovely too!

Oh my, I am just swooning over your art. Thanks for the videos. I am definitely going to try to color some flowers. I hope to get in at least 20 days of coloring. I usually don’t do much on the weekends cause I spend that time with my hubby. I just subscribe to get your emails. Thanks for sharing.
16 minute is nothing!!! I could watch you color and paint for hours girl!!! Thank you for your inspiration!
Oh man Sandy! So much talent! I loved watching your videos and plan on purchasing your digi lessons as soon as I can save up for some copics!
Hmmm….was so excited about your videos, I didn’t see the blog candy – well duh!!!! I am always colouring in – I have colouring in books (by Johanna Basford) and some images I am practicing with, but don’t feel game enough to post as I am only a beginner!
Gorgeous cosmos and loved seeing the same flowers done in Copics and watercolors
I am hoping to at least make sure I do 15 days — figure half was a good goal to try for. Thanks for the chance to win.
I love using different coloring implements to get the whole picture. I often use my Copics and my Prismacolors together.
Hi, thanks for sharing your very pretty cards with us. Lots of colouring involved. I have water colouring pencils, so thanks so much for including one using water colours. Both look fabulous!
Oooo! Nice! I’ll probably color every day, as I usually do. But if it involves posting the coloring somewhere it ain’t gonna happen!
Very pretty card love it !!!
Last time I managed 7 times. But this time around my schedule is not so hectic. I think I can manage to double it.
As always your coloring is amazing. Thank you for the tutorial,
You always amaze me, Sandy! Thank you for introducing me to Kathy! I am loving this series. Realistically, I am hoping to participate at least nine-10 times. Tomorrow is watercolored flowers. We shall see =)
Your cards are simply fantabulous! I love the vibrant coloring. I have not tried this technique yet but keep wanting to try it. Great video!
You really awe me with your talent.
You make it look so easy but it’s your level of talent…. This card is just awesome
Well this is the perfect challenge for me this month because, it will definitely be a challenge to color every day as I have to move from my apartment at some point before the 30th. Being that said, I wish to color every day not only for this challenge, but also for stress release. Sadly, I must come up to realize that I may fall within the 15 days range instead. Regardless of how many days may we all do; I wish you all Happy Coloring and good luck!! 🙂
Both cards are absolutely beautiful I didn’t think the video was to long love to watch you do your thing..I am going for the full 30 days it is a challenge (5 mins a day) even tho it is a busy time. Wishing you a wonderful evening. Kind Regards. roxy
I’ll probably make 22 days of coloring. Your work is amazing, by the way.
i’m thinking maybe i can color for 20 of those thirty days. my wonderful brother and wife are coming up for a week, no stamping or coloring then. 🙂
The cards were just the prettiest thing I’ve seen in a long time! You make the water coloring look so easy!
Wow, I thought I would be able to do pretty good with coloring most every day, but with actually looking on a calendar and choosing days I would most likely be able to get some coloring in; 18! That does not seem like a good enough number!! I was hoping for more (even though the last week I will be riding on a motorcycle trip with my hubby)! Now my goal is to make it more than 18 days! Thanks for the great video! I love the hex chart; feel like I am still learning the tips/tricks of it, but have made some new color choices. Thanks for the Edu-digi discount too!
FAB-U-LOUS! Wow!
wow, your cards are gorgeous and your coloring is amazing.
I love how vibrant your card is! I’ll colour for all 30 days of the challenge. I did it the first time, I am determined to do it again! So glad to have come across your blog on this little blog hop 🙂
Your cards are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
My plan is to get at least 15 cards done for the challenge.
I would loVe to win those pens. Thanks for the chance.
Crafty hugs,
Dawn

Your cards are breathtaking! I hope to join in and color at least 20 of the days!!
I’d love to join in every day! But I’ll probably be lucky if I have time for more than 5-10. Such a busy time of year! Your cards are absolutely gorgeous!!! I wish I could color something to look even HALF that good! Those are honestly a work of art! 🙂
Both of your cards are absolutely gorgeous. I plan on being here everyday. I’ll let you know if I don’t make it. Glad to see you here on the blog hop!
Soooo Gorgeous! I’m hoping for 15-20 of the days realistically. I would love to try the multiliner… thanks!!
Hi Sally, love your two coloured images, just beautiful. In the last challenge I participated every day. This one will depend on how well my parents are going as I am carer for them and they are not real great at the moment. Reckon I will colour no matter what as its a great stress release but may have to multi post on some days to cover days missed when at their place.
These are spectacular! I could not be more impressed; what a joy to watch.
Your chrysanthemums are just gorgeous! I hope to join in the 30 day challenge every day, but realistically, might make it 20 of the 30 days!
Your flowers, WOW, absolutely STUNNING! I think I’m going to be able to color at least 15 out of the 30 days, hopefully more!
Awesome vid Sandy! I believe that I willl be able to color at least 20 out of the 30 days. I am going to try for the full 30 though!
Those are both incredible. Just beautiful.
I am utterly amazed at how you work and how things come out to look so gorgeous. When I am thinking uck. But it always always work. You area true inspiration Sandy and I love to watch you. I really liked the copic card but the water color turned out awesome also. TFS
Thanks for the challenge, Sandy, and I loved watching your video! So need a “nudge” to color something each day! Hugs!
I really want to try no line coloring. Thanks for the video. I hope to at least make 15 days of the thirty. Your work is amazing!
Gorgeous card! Your coloring is fantastic! I’m on travel until next week and of course I didn’t bring anything with me, so I’m hoping to join in for about 14 days.
AR LEAST HALF HOPEFULLY!
FANTASTIC 🙂
Seriously–these were stunningly beautiful! I was left with my mouth wide open….
Thanks for the giveaway…how many days will I be able to play? I’m hoping/aiming for at least 20. I’ve done the first 2 so I’m on a roll! And I’m finishing up the homeschooling year so I’m hoping that frees me up a bit more than when Kathy did the challenge a few months ago… 🙂
Thanks for the inspiration!!!!
Absolutely beautiful Sandy! I am sure this will lift your friends spirits!
Those cards are just SO gorgeous, Sandy. The copic one is my favorite, of course, because it’s so bright, but they are both just stunning. I am hoping to do the challenge this month, but as I found with the last one, something always comes up. heh I will definitely be doing some, but with my husband’s birthday, and father’s day, bible schools, etc. I am not sure I will get to do as much as I want. ^_^
very pretty…
Hit the button by accident before I was able to leave my answer to your question….being realistic maybe predicting to do at least 15-20 days of coloring challenge, but going to dedicate some time to coloring each day this time around to complete the 30 day color challenge.
Wow! Love this card in both the copic marker version and the watercolor and must say absolutely in love with your video as well. Excellent teacher you are!
Absolutely gorgeous!
Sandy, your coloring is amazing as usual. I wanted to let you know that your sentiment really hit home to me today as I am going through some terrible pain that the doctors can’t seem to touch now matter what they throw at me and knowing that God is always there helps me. But sometimes I need a reminder. Thanks for that reminder.. I don’t know that I will be coloring much at all as I can hardly have the energy to get through many of my blogs I follow.
Amazing coloring! Such beautiful flowers–you certainly did them justice. Thanks for sharing your talent. I plan to stick with the coloring for the full 30 days, casted hand and all. I really want to practice using the different toys (oops, craft supplies!) I have gathered (YouTube is dangerous to my budget!) AND I really need a break from organizing the craft space at least once a day. I have already stamped a bunch of images, so even on the busy days it’s easy to grab something and have at it!
Beautiful card. Love the colors you used. I would love to color everyday but that is easier said then done. I will aim for once a week. TFS
