Mermaid week continues…this time with watery brusho!
Watery Glass Dome
Brusho was an obvious choice to use for such a “wet” subject matter! I love to find creative ways to paint with these powders. While it may not have gone as I originally planned—I plowed through. Let me know what you think! Watch the video below, or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.
And here’s the promised color chart if you’d like to pick out a few colors:
Color-alongs this weekend!
On Sunday I’ll be online live, coloring the Greeting Farm mermaids below – you can download the digis and get them printed out, and be ready to color! I’ll be using Copics but you can use whatever medium you want, of course.
- Leela Merbean on Periscope – Sunday Aug 7 at 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern
- Coralina Merbean on Facebook Live – Sunday Aug 7 at 1pm Pacific/4pm Eastern

Mermaid Week is such a fun idea! Love mermaids – and these Lawn Fawn ones are my favorite. Your technique of making them in the globe is wonderful!
This turned out beautiful! Loved seeing how you worked through the “problems”.
P.S. Thank you for letting me know about Ryan’s Birthday on Sunday.
Enjoyed seeing how you water colored with Brusho and how you made the dome taller. TFS
Great job on the glass, actually, the while card. I couldn’t wait to see what you were going to pull 8ff with this set. I love lawn Fawn.
Thanks Sandy..I forgot how fun these are to play with an achieve different looks. This came out great.I love it.
A really beautiful card. I still don’t have any Brusho but it looks like so much fun to use! A great card!
Again, another great source of inspiration. It’s so vibrant and happy! The “glass” is perfect. Thanks Sandy!
