Make a Thanksgiving Dinner Card – with a turkey!

September 9, 2020 by Sandy Allnock 4 Comments [featured_image}

A few weeks back, I shared a sneak peek of this silly Thanksgiving dinner card…..with a turkey looking on with shock at his cousin sitting on the dinner table! The stamp set is from Sunny Studio Stamps – and it’s called Bountiful Autumn.

Supplies for this project are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you.

I had the “vision” for this one as soon as I started stamping – it changed a little along the way. Primarily the internal debate was asking myself how prominent or faded that turkey (ive)( would be. Watch that get resolved:

View on YouTube.

The lightbulb (or candlabra) above the turkey is implied rather than drawn in – reminding me to sometimes keep some mystery going on!

The embossed sentiment – oh how I love good font combos!

    What a super fun card. I can imagine that if a turkey happened to see this table his eyes would really pop out so the googly eyes are a perfect addition and makes the card even more fun. Thanks for the great detailed coloring video and including all the Copics used. It was fun to see the card come to life as you colored.

    I’m with you – funny Thanksgiving cards are the best, and this one is a riot! Lots of great info about using color – light sources, setting the tone, building the scene…
