I’ve wanted to try this idea for a while…and with the simplicity of the Book Lady stamp, I decided it was time to try. Glad I tried on camera and glad it worked – so I could show you how!

This is a more “normal” use of the stamp – okay it’s the way it was intended, eh? I added the stone background to the outside of the house, and a few shapes on the inside for a little setting for her.

But this one I stamped only the outside edges of the image – and drew her in myself! Don’t worry, you CAN do this – it’s simpler shapes, there aren’t any facial features. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

The window is perfect for ANY scene from any of my classes….I hope to see some of you guys using the die this way, even if you don’t flip a character back and forth like I did!

These were amazing! Your brain is so twisted (in a nice way)! I love it! Never change. Thanks for sharing your amazing talents.
You can use the die for the back of the lady by holding the die up to the finished painting in front of a lamp. If you’re using cover stock rather than a thick piece of cardstock, you’ll be able to see where to tape the die so it can be cut, and it’ll match the diecut of the front of the lady.
WOW! Fantastic cards. Love how you did one looking out and one looking in.
Stunning Sandy, I love how you showed us to make a front and back from the same stamp. And it doesn’t even look so hard to do, this I will definitely give a try. Thank you so much.
These are just incredible cards Sandy!!! I love how you turned her around!!! You are so clever!!
Such a great card!
I’ve been crazy about front-and-back stamps since I first saw them decades ago. My way of getting the back is to stamp onto white paper, turn it over and put another piece of white paper on top, then trace the outline using a light table. Looking at the front let me know where to draw on the back to get the same effect you got. I love that you like the front-and-back technique. And you’re a wonderful artist.
This is a great card! You out did yourself with this one. Oh the possibilities! I hope everything is ok with you. Monday you seemed down. I hope the pups did their best to lighten the days. Be well. Thanks Diane
Double the use of our stamps! Great idea.
