I haven’t created very many advanced colored pencil tutorials – mostly because they take so very long! But once in a while I do one, and today’s the day – let’s get our summer groove on with a beach sunset!

Video
The stamping of the scene disappeared from my video card, darn it. But I started by stamping the tiki hut in no-line ink; then I used post its to mask of JUST the sign part in the top and inked it with black to stamp; then turned the stickynotes around to block off just above the poles of the tiki hut. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.
I was delighted that the embossing of the sentiment came out so nice and crisp! And would it be a Sandy card without a little white pen starry sky?

Thank you for this amazing video. Today is my 80th birthday and I am starting it with the pleasure of watching your artistic process. I have no artistic talent and just two days ago I picked up art supplies (colored pencil and paper) for the first time in my eighty years of life because I have been advised to keep myself busy with pencil and paper to prevent dementia and maintain my alertness.
Thames you
Azari
Happy birthday – and happy coloring!!
Awesome card Sandy, I love this scene so much. Only can dream of such a great beach and tiki hut.
Thank you so much for the great video, stays safe and have a wonderful week.
You captured my heart with this beauty. Mahalo nui loa!

Looks like fun – wish I was at that tiki bar today!
