I’ve been in a doodly mood lately – even worked on a class! But today I decided to play around with my white pen on some airbrushing…you can do the same with other mediums like ink blending in the background.

Supplies for this project are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you.
The Craft Assistant, isn’t a necessary thing fo\r airbrush but – it’s super easy to clean, and you can see the colors on it easily. I adhere my paper lightly with a little ATG tape (or magnets if the whole surface isn’t being colored) and can then move and spin the board as needed for my project.
Make sure the colors you use in the background are dark enough that white pen shows up – and also know the pen will take on some of the color of the medium, usually. But it’s a soft yellow here which is lovely! This looks beautiful on my studio wall.

I also did some cards with the same technique. This first one uses the same colors, but before doodling I embossed one of the Lovely Labels borders in white, stamped the sentiment in black, and only doodled outside the border.

This one got a stamped border and white-embossed sentiment, then doodled the background in black.

If you just want to make backgrounds and not worry about where the sentiment will go while you doodle, just stamp!

Love the airbrushed backgrounds and doodling
WOW!!! That video was so relaxing to watch – I could have it on my big TV on repeat all day! Gorgeous cards too!
This was awesome to watch and the results are stunning!!
Thank you so much Sandy.
If I had doodled less and spent more time taking notes in class, I am sure I would have gotten much better grades all those years ago in school. Now I can doodle when ever I want without a bit of guilt
