Happy March, friends! I’m Sandy Allnock, coloring addict….back with another video for you this month! Before I get started – I want to address what you might be thinking: I don’t see color in this picture. It’s not coloring! Well, technically, black is the absence of color, and white is ALL colors of the spectrum. So even though I’m coloring by doodling – there’s more color here than you might have guessed!
These cards are also clean and simple – they make for a quick card but really cute, and still have your love poured into them. Check out the video for tips on how I created these sweet cards using Critter Clan!
Doesn’t that make you want to get out a pen and start doodling? It’s so relaxing to just mindlessly fill in patterns. Think of all the cute MFT stamps you can use to apply this technique!
I think the horse is my favorite – he’s got the most spaces to fill in with the doodling. You could do his entire body and leave his mane and tail white, or just use different textures and intensities to create a difference between them.
And then…there’s the little fox. I have a special place in my heart for any fox, know what I mean? This little guy is so sweet, and I’ll be getting out my Copics to color him over on Instagram today – so be sure to pop over and see him!
One of the best parts of this kind of a technique – you can get your stamping done, then take any black pen and hit the road to doodle at baseball practice, or while waiting in the car, anytime you have a few minutes to just doodle! I hope you try playing with simple sketching skills, and add a little fun to some of your stamps!
