Copic Coloring Glass Jars

July 22, 2015 by Sandy Allnock 17 Comments [featured_image}

Sometimes I make videos based on very very specific requests – this Coloring Glass tutorial iss one of those! It may take some time but I do try to do things you guys ask for. Especially from any of my patrons. 😉

Coloring Glass Vases or Jars

There are a LOT of vase and jar stamps out there. And they seem to fall into a couple categories – side views (tops of the jars are perfectly flat), or a variety of angles from above (with an oval opening)….as well they can be straight along the sides, or some rounded shape. In today’s video I show you each of those with this awesome stamp set from Clearly Besotted that I saw just happened to have both kinds of jars – so I bought one to use especially for this video! Watch it below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

The daisies card uses the straight-edged shape of vase, and the top is the rounded, shown from angle in the drawing. For the window on the card, I used THIS die set from Pretty Pink Posh, and some sweet little 4mm sequins…for some reason I can’t seem to deal with anything larger, I had 6mm on this card and they just seemed to overpower it! The sentiments on both of these cards are from this great border set.

For the roses, I wanted the flowers to be the only pop of color – so I opted for white paste used with a hexagon stencil (what other shape is there? lol ever since the HexChart I can’t stop…haha!)….then added more PPP dies. See those little water drops? Glossy Accents! Love that touch.Sandy Allnock - Copic Coloring Glass Vases Roses

Hope this was a helpful tutorial for everyone – it was fun to finally check one off my long list! Wheee!

    Oh Sandy,
    This video makes me so happy. If I had your dancing skillz (see previous post), I’d do a little happy dance/shuffle, but my talents are sadly lacking in that area (although I could probably managing clapping the stamp pads together)Thank you so much for this video! I’m going to go look through my stamps and find a vase to color! You are the BEST.

    Very helpful and the timing was perfect as I am getting ready for my church stamping group this Friday and we are making pop up cards with vases inside.

    Thanks for sharing these cards/video/tips. I am trying to build my Copic stash and learn how and I find your videos/tips extremely helpful. Maybe someday I’ll have enough Copics to warrant buying your Hexchart! LOL

    I cannot believe today is the day that you post this since just yesterday I bought a digital stamp that look similar to these. I was excited about coloring the flowers, but worried about the water! God heard my unspoken prayer! Now I’m REALLY excited about it!

    Also, I’m so excited for you about 20,000 subscribers–but I am NOT surprised!

    Thanks for all you do for us!
