Coloring Snow Angels

October 27, 2020 by Sandy Allnock 41 Comments Filed Under: Copic Intermediate

Welcome!! I’m excited to have been invited to celebrate the new release of darling Christmas images from Evelin T Designs! I’ve got cards made with each set – and a tutorial with one of them! Scroll through to see lots of creative ideas!

NOTE: Stamps are hopefully available tomorrow, I’ll post links then. However the southern CA wildfires have seen Evelin and her family evacuated—she’s hoping the danger passes quickly and they’ll get to go back home. Please pray for everyone’s safety; in tomorrow’s post I hope to have great news that all is well.

Video

In the video – a quick overview of all the new stamps, and a tutorial with the little fox, inspired by the little pup!

View on YouTube

This sweet little dog from Puptastic Christmas served as inspiration for my tutorial – I tried to figure out how to draw a tree from up above so it looks like you’re up in the branches looking down. I think it worked!

I was thinking about how many other stamps have arms and legs in the air that could be turned into snow angels. So I tried it with the fox:

They both came out really cute – I hope you’ll try it sometime, with or withtout the tree!

Be Merry

This set has little hedgies in it – did you know they could sing?

They sing in the forest too! Alongside a sweet little mushroom tree.

I’m not positive this one works…I tried to figure out where a teacup with a hedgie in it would be, and it has to be inside, right? lol!

Baby It’s Cold Outside

Brrrr! Pups and bears tossing snowballs…

Puptastic

And pups sledding…..

Winter Magic

These little guys are all jumping around – with shadows starting a little distance below their feet, they look like they’re up in the air!

Thank you Sandy for another amazing video. All your cards are fantastic. I really like Baby it’s cold outside scene. What copic markers did you used for the background? I would like to give it a try 🙂

    Gorgeous and cute cards Sandy.
Great tip in the video for the branches, first the white and then the brown, this will help with every medium.
And no Christmas card for Sandy without snow LOL, I love that!
Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe and have a wonderful day.

All of these animals are just so adorable! I can’t wait to see the whole release, and it’s so mean to make us wait until tomorrow. In the meantime, I am going to give these scenes a shot with whatever I find in my stash. I know I have some other Evelyn T stamps, so I will play with them. Thanks for sharing so many great ideas.

What a great idea – snow angels are the best. Can’t wait to try this one out – may have to buy yet another new stamp set… but I’ll be checking my existing stamps in the meantime. Thanks also for the tips on a tree trunk from up high! Something really different to add. Thanks!
