Happy Fri-yay! It’s new release day for Ellen Hutson – and the design team usually (well except me coz I’m terrible at following instructions!) uses a common set of colors; that helps the release look unified even with everyone’s different style. I loved the colors this time – so much fun! While different artists can translate what they think is a middle red or dark red in various mediums – I love the tan black and grey with the rich reds. You might too!
If you’d like to see everyone else’s interpretation of both the supplies and the colorway, pop over and check it out – it starts at 9am Pacific! LINK
It’s a quickie – coz it’s Friday and you have to get busy making your Christmas cards, right? Watch the video below or click here to watch on YouTube.
By the way if you need some fall goodies…..check out the sale!
All Wrapped Up has an airbrushed background – you could do this with inks – and stickles for the lights!
More stitching dies! You knew I had to do the Hexagon, right?? I sewed with twine this time instead of thread, so to make the paper stronger I doubled up the thickness by gluing two sheets together before die cutting.
Here i stamped the Falalala Background on Desert Storm with no line ink; added Sending Holiday Cheer in 2 colors by masking each of the sections; then did some distressing with ink pads directly on the card base and popped panel. To embellish I added Snowflakes and Stars.
Sweet Surprises has a stocking to tuck into the stocking; just mask off the back side of the top of the stocking when stamping that; then mask the front of the stocking when stamping the contents. The background is from the Holiday Interiors class.
Cup of Cheer also uses one of the Holiday Interiors class scenes (an adaptation of it).
