I’ve talked about saturation in colors before – but thought a refresher would be helpful, along with sharing some new stamp sets! Big thanks to Mendi from Sunny Studios for sending these along so I could play with them.

I picked out a selection of Prismacolors for Farm Fresh – warm on the left, cool on the right. Notice there are saturated (bright and intense) and desaturated (greyed-out) colors in each color group.
In the video you’ll see the examples of bright, saturated colors and the duller ones – in context it starts to make more sense!
The Stonehenge “colors” pad has a selection of light tans/creams – some more pinkish, some more yellowish. I still love the white best but these have the same great texture for pencil.
The card design – I simply trimmed the panel to allow a little of the card base to show, popped it on dimensional adhesive. Then stamped “hay there” – fun fact, the word “hay” looks right when the stamp is upside down, but it stamps upside down. Ha. Thus my little trimmed panel to cover up my upside down “hay”!
On IGTV this video will post later today….I stamped and masked the chicken and hay first, then stamped the far left edge of the background on the right, and moved the buildings to the left side to stamp them….just to give the farm a different layout than is in the stamp!
Here’s some of the new release stamps and their dies — I may not make a video with the mice for YT but might for social media 🙂
There’s a great little Bountiful Autumn set – and I made a hilarious turkey dinner card where my turkey is watching the turkey on the table with googlie eyes!
The new Holy Night set is so pretty, and my upcoming video will show how to do a double-light-source background.
