Sympathy cards are SO hard to make. They just hurt the heart, even though you know they’re going to ease someone’s pain just a little.

But… I think this stamp I used has taught me my new favorite word. “Agapanthus.” Just say it out loud. “Agapanthus.” Isn’t it wonderful?
I decided to stamp the image on Desert Storm; I thought it might be an interesting exploration to try doing flowers on a darker paper – I’ve colored other images on it, but not florals. I also show it on white, so you can see the color comparison between doing so on darker and lighter paper. Very interesting, at least to me – the coloring nerd!

I do like it on the white, but there’s something very unique and quite relazing about the desert storm color!

Which do you prefer – the Desert Storm or the White? Maybe it depends on who it’s for….not really sure! 🙂

Not sure how I missed this video, but glad you reposted it. Both cards are lovely, but somehow the desert storm one seems more appropriate for a sympathy card. Love how you layered the flowers. TFS
Hi. I see that you don’t update your website too often. I know that writing articles is time consuming and
boring. But did you know that there is a tool that allows you to
create new posts using existing content (from article directories or other pages from your niche)?
And it does it very well. The new posts are unique and pass the copyscape test.
You should try miftolo’s tools
Gosh is this ever beautiful. In all your spare time (LOL), it would be wonderful to have a whole series of sympathy cards. I think they are the hardest of all to produce but this one is beautiful and yet subdued to match the sentiment.
The desert storm is more soothing for me.
I like both, but, I like the white better.
I would’ve thought that this stamp set would look better on the white, but you know…. even though it looks terrific on white, I think I would choose the brownish papered card. Learned something about myself…. from a card no less.
They’re both gorgeous but there is something so fresh and clean about the white one that I am completely drawn too. Thanks for the chance Karen
They are both beautiful but there is something about the beige that really gets to me.Thank you
I love your work and the stamp set is perfect. I seem to collect a lot of flower stamps, so these would be a nice addition to those. Wish I could work with my Copics as well as you demonstrate. 🙂
They’re both beautiful, but the Desert Storm version has an elegant earthiness to it. My daughter and I loved taking your classes at Stamp Fever, and we had many hours/days of ‘play time’ to practice the techniques we learned from you before I had to catch my flight home. Now she’s hoping you’ll be there again next year so we can do the classes together again!
I love the dessert storm paper. It just seems calmer or more subtle or…..what’s the word I’m looking for. Regardless of the right word to explain why I like it…..it is really beautiful. I have to laugh at myself…..I’m new to this world and I am blindly fumbling around. So blindly that I already thought I’d left 2 comments to you…..wonder where those went…..lol!
Sandy I love the pretty stamp and your cards are fabulous! Keep posting your awesome videos I enjoy watching them.
I can’t decide which card I like better. The are both exquisite. Oh how I wish I had your talent!
What a beautiful card! I loved the stamp so much that I checked out the Greenhouse Society stamps; they are all so lovely. I hope you make more cards with their stamps as your artistic skill brings them to life.
Hi Sandy, I just love watching your coloring videos, I learn so much. This card id beautiful.
Their flower stamps are truly gorgeous. I love your coloring and this card is so beautiful. The Desert Storm I think.

Wow both cards are outstanding. when I saw this stamp I wasn’t too impressed until I saw what you could do with it. Super wow! now it is a must have!
Everything about the card sets the perfect tone. Lovely.
Such an elegant sympathy creation, love this flower stamp with your beautiful coloring work!
Hey Sandy. I shared this on my FB page and Twitter but the link doesn’t work to get the check mark. Love this card and how you showed us the design on two different card stocks.
I like the desert storm better.
Love this stamp, my mother-in-law has this flower planted and oh my it has had the biggest blooms on it this year!!! Beautiful coloring thanks for sharing all the little details I haven’t ever gone over copics with pencils and will be trying that! I love both the cards, the white is just oh so crisp looking! Thanks again for all your tutorials, I for one really appreciate all the time you take to make them.
Fabulous card with beautiful stamp by Technique Tuesday!!Thanks for the tips and inspiration!
These are so beautiful. Amazing how they each look different but alike on the different color papers. Love the shading you did on the one on Desert Storm paper. Really made the image jump off the page. Great job and TFS
Beautiful cards. Love the comparison between the two different color cardstock. TFS
I like the white card best! Did you know this flower also comes in white and is also known as the Lilly of the Nile!! Thanks so much for sharing all your special talents with us!!!!
This is so lovely! I love kraft/desert storm card stock cards!
So beautiful! I like it on the Desert Storm, especially for a sympathy card!
both cards are lovely. it would really depend on who was getting the card i think.
I like the desert storm version, because it seems like it could be sent to a guy, even though it is a flower.
Thanks so much for sharing Sandy! Love both, but really like the one on the craft cardstock.
Wow! They are both so beautiful! I love all of your creations! I love watching you videos and following your blog, thank you so much for sharing your light, fantastic energy and amazing talent with us!!
Love the mixed media use on the craft cardstock but I’m a cool tone gal so I’m drawn more to the brightness of the white. Both turned out lovely.
Both cards are beautiful but I think I prefer the white the most as white is clean & simple also 🙂
