If you’re an addict like me – you have a lot of tiny cling stamps in your stash! I’m up to 8 of the Stampin Up plastic cases full of them….yeeesh! For some folks it’s hard to see what the stamps look like when they’re all grey cling; so try making little tags with test images!

If you keep them in the sets they came in, you can tuck a tag into the package. If you use cases like me, cut a piece of watercolor paper the size of your case, and stamp all the images so you know what you have! In today’s video, I’ll show you all 10 of the new sets that just came out, and give a few tips along the way.
Stay tuned to the end, I *just* picked up some new markers and they could prove very interesting for AI watercolor! NOTE: I don’t recommend them any longer (2020) so I’ve removed the links to them. I don’t find the pigment moves as well as with Tombow.
Below are the swatch cards I made in the video; click on the image caption to go purchase the stamp set at Ellen Hutson coz I know you also need cardstock. (How did I know that? Coz I do too. LOL)

Samples
I created a few card-sized paintings with only the stamps listed above–there are SO many options for layouts and combinations!

Thanks for the information regarding watercolor swatch cards! I love to paint, and I think that having a swatch card would actually really help me understand which colors go well with what colors. With that being said, I really like what you have done here with your little paintings — you must be using it! Thanks again!
Hi Sandy…Thanks for the great idea to swatch all of the Art Impressions stamps. I am just loving these stamps. Thanks again and plan on making a swatch note book for my stamps…PS your videos are great for us beginners, shading is something I am working on..
I have become addicted to these stamps and I love all of them. I am currently slowly collecting all of them. Could you go into more detail or show a picture of how you store them? You said you use cases? Thanks so much for doing the video on these stamps and helping me with my newest addiction.
Sandy, thank you so much for your tips and inspiration. I know that you have not had the Art and Graphic markers for a long time, however, I need to replace my Tombow markers due to age. How do you think theses compare. I have a small set of the clean color markers. And I like the ink. But I do not like the brush tip for all of my projects. Thanks so much for all your helpful videos.
What a great idea for these AI stamps. As for the markers – gimme all the markers!
Thank you for sharing this idea. I will be taking the Art Impressions class at the Anaheim Scrapbook Expo next month. The swatch book is a fabulous idea – thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you so much for sharing the new sets Sandy!! I can’t wait to get my hands on those kitties, birds and bunnies!!
I almost peed my pants at the “marker condoms” comment!
I was checking to see who reads all the words. LOL
Wow thank you SO VERY MUCH for this post, you’re so awesome Sandy! Love your ideas & always – always learn something from your videos! I so enjoy your watercoloring & really want to take your watercolor class you offer. Do you think you will have a special price on this class again soon? I missed the $5 off promotion! Please do 🙂 Thanks again Sandy!
Great idea fantastic video! has me rethinking my stamp organization of some brands- AI and Altenew especially. thaks
Thanks for the video and showing the comparison of markers.
I just went through my stamps this week and organized. So much better.
Heartfelt thanks, Sandy! You inspired me to try AI Watercolor stamps a few years ago… and I am enjoying them immensely. It’s such a relaxing way to create… and the possibilities are endless! I always bring them to Crop days because it’s just a tiny bit to carry for an entire day of creative fun! I love your idea of swatching the images!! I still haven’t figured out my perfect storage system for these tiny stamps. First I grouped them all by types (containers, flowers, foliage, cacti, structures,…) in plastic SU cases. Then I decided to store them back in their original packages to keep track of all of them. I think that creating swatch tags of the images will help me decide how best to store them. I love, love, love the new AI Watercolor release… so my collection will be growing again! I just love watching you work with these wonderful stamps, Sandy! ♡
I love Art Impressions stamps and these are ALL awesome! Great tips in the video Sandy, TFS!
Okay, this is a “why didn’t I think of that” moment. I love AI stamps and have a lot of them that I will never purge. I do use those plastic cases and tuck in the package cards the come with the stamps, but the swatches are a brilliant idea, a perfect visual of each stamp. Gonna put this high up on my things to do list. Looking forward to seeing more on those markers too!
Love your ideas!
