I hope you had a great World Card Making Day yesterday…maybe enough to keep celebrating today! I’ve got the promised Lantern Marci card and tutorial for ya today
I used the same sketch as yesterday…different image, and a very different color scheme.

I used a different border punch on this one, and I like how it works with the pearl pen dots…the simple scallop yesterday barely showed up at all.
And I’m still using Memory Box papers too, some of the same ones as yesterday. The embellishment this time is a layered snowflake. That and the snow are both cream, to complement the color scheme in the image.

Here’s the tutorial…feel free to go watch it on YouTube and leave the video a lil lovin! (Or at least a like!)
And remember – tonight I pick winners for the LaLaLand halloween stamps! One from commenters on this post, and one from commenters on yesterday’s bloghop post.

I love Marci’s hair – it is “titan” just like Nancy Drew in the books! LOL! I agree, the scallop piece on this card is much better than yesterday’s. But they are both darling cards. Feel better!
Copic Markers are quickly becoming that which I covet the most. “My Precious.” Beautiful job with this one.
Lookin’ good!! I love my Copics too!
Sandy, I love the idea you give us using the pearl pens. The cards as usual are lovely. I’m at a church retreat in your backyard – 5 mile lake and wished I could join in on all the card making fun this weekend. Praying you feel better soon.
Beautiful, gorgeous card. Your coloring is out of this world.
Sandy I like how you put the snowflake on two circles Really stands out. And I see you popped the lantern. The card has a antique look to it Great job. Rest and feel better
I am paying closing attention to how you do your shading so that I can become better at it! I also am starting to think about buying some pearl pen!
Pretty Card!
Your coloring is absolutely stunning! Love that rich rich red hair and the warm coat and hat. I’ve only used the yellow and white pearl pens, black looks fab! TFS and feel better soon.
Pearl pen! item I need to look at getting. I just got more mini pearls at Hobby Lobby yesterday but now I wish I had looked for these instead!
And Diana Evenson: you’re right! big Nancy Drew fan, and this is how her hair would look if she were not fictional!
Sandy, this is a beautiful card!!! I love that you explain every step as you go especially the shading.
She is so adorable–on my wish list, for sure! Thanks for the tut, and of course, for the crack at candy!!
I would LOVE to win the blog candy tonight! I have lots of cards to finish today. Yesterday my friends and I held a card party. We completed over 300 cards!!! All stamped and tucked ready to send. Woohoo!
What a gorgeous card!!! Thank you so much for all the tips on using Copics…I really appreciate learning how to blend ‘Strawberry Blond Hair’…so, so pretty!
I hope you’re starting to feel better…as always, thank you so much for sharing your talents with us, and for a chance to win one of these darling stamps!
Love the card and all the tips. Thanks for the videos, very helpful, and of course for the chance for the cute stamps.
Wow! You are just awesome with the Copics! And I love how you show all these differences colors and patterned papers can make!
Praying for you to get better!!!
I love the vintatge feel. How long does it take the pearl pen to dry? I have not seen them in my scrapbook store but think I will be investigating so I can use the accent – seems so classy.
Wow first time I have seen you use Copics. Awesome! Now I want some. You make the whole process look effortless and I know you are very skilled at it.
Grrrr I have not been able to get on Youtube for 2 days but I bookmarked it for later because I SO wanna see how you did this. She is amazing and I am not just saying that to be nice
Her colors and the papers blend so well together and I love how the scalloped edge stands out on this one. TFS another wonderful project with us
Darling card. Your coloring is impeccable!
Oops…I spelled my own name wrong…Susan
Love, love, love your cards. I like how you cut out a part of the image and pop it up and how you use layers. Like the use of Pearl pens too. Thanks for sharing.
Oh wow – she is gorgeous! Love her hair! Thanks for the tutorial – I am still learning how to blend with copics and the video was great!
Excellent tutorial!!
the the colors you used. Marci really pops on those colors
Love your coloring tutorials (still practicing on the beach house you did this summer)! Thanks for all you do.
