Vignette Copic Coloring

Before I get started, a note: The stamps I used on Monday are out of stock – and won’t be back til April. We’ll all have to be patient for restocking on international stamps, this is why most US-based retailers don’t tend to carry them. BUT – Donna from TopFlight says you can email during this sale and tell her you want them, and she’ll honor the 20% off once the stamps come in.

Hey if you’re a Paper Smooches fan – all the PS stamps are on sale this week. Here. #yourewelcome !

Vignette Copic Coloring

Sometimes a full background is too much. You need just a little something something….so add just a little wash of color to draw attention to your focal point – either the stamps or the sentiment! Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

Gosh I love Paper Smooches stamps.…the images have good heavy lines (easy for new Copic colorists) and simple shapes.

The bear looks pretty dark in photos – but in reality it’s much better. If yours gets too dark, add a little glossy accents to his eyes and nose and they pop right out!

Watch my instagram this week – since the stamps are on sale I’ll color up some to help give you ideas how to use yours!

Off subject: Could you please let me know the name of the pencil SHARPENER that you like best. Please reply. This is the second time I ask. I know you are very busy and I appreciate the time you take to answer our questions.

    1. I did reply to you before. But all my favorite supplies are on this page: http://sandyallnock.com/products/

  3. These are great! I will have to try it!

  4. Thank you, these are so cute, and yellow is the best color!!!! 🙂

  5. Watching your videos leaves me with my mouth wide opened at the end of them! Just amazing talent that you have Sandy. Thanks for sharing it!

  6. Love all of these cards! Do you have any idea where that gorgeous yellow paper that so nicely matches the Y17 comes from?

  7. Really fun images, and a background more suited to my skill level ! I do have a tiny little suggestion, most respectfully submitted: the background music is nice when you are doing video without commentary, but I find it very distracting when you are speaking. It may be because I have hearing difficulties, but I thought you should know. I am so grateful for all I learn from you and I really do NOT wish to offend. Thanks so much.

  8. Great cards! Love the idea of vignettes!

  9. When I first saw your cards, I was certain you’d used ink blending for the background colors. Can’t believe you did that with Copics! I have so much to learn!!! Awesome cards, Sandy!

  10. Great little cards – and I love this “quickie background” technique. (Also, thanks for the language lesson!)

  11. Awesome technique. Looks elegant, but simple at the same time.
