I don’t do this often. And perhaps as I work more with this I’ll come up with something all fun and unique. But I loved Amy’s card SO much that I just had to go for a straight CASE!
The thing that happened when I saw her card (go look at it! seriously!), was what popped into my head instantly – the SU bird punch! I know she used dies on her card, but oh the bird! I love using those punches for things other than the images they were intended for, and I couldn’t resist giving it a shot! I used various sizes of Spellbinders Nestabilities along with Sizzix dies to make the other pieces….neither of the two sets have all the right sizes. (Sure hope it’s “legal” to mix rivals on a card! lol!)

I do like the die set Amy was showing off, since that had the mustaches to use as eyebrows – but I think little scrap rectangles work too. I even CASEd Amy’s strip, but substituted a paper punched button and a sentiment from Paper Smooches.

So thanks, Amy, if you end up visiting this post – you probably have no idea but you’re my mojo jumpstart whenever I get stuck! I’ve always been impressed with your cards, your faith, and your heart – keep it up.

Sooo cute! Nice rendition of the original, as it’s much sharper and stands out so well. It is a great idea to try.
