Are you just popping in for WCMD? I’m posting videos every three hours to celebrate “our” holiday…celebrate with me by posting your creation inspired by one of these videos, and tagging me on Instagram, Facebook, or link up your blog in a comment on one of today’s posts – I’ll be sending my halloween cards to participants!

Spooktacular Splatter Coloring for Halloween

Sometimes you just stumble on an idea…and it’s perfect for that stamp set. This one? Yep. That happened! I began thinking I was going to distress the edges and then color in the image. It’s not in the voiceover, but when I put the Antique Linen ink on in that first swoosh, I thought….oh. no. I thought I had a lighter ink picked out! Whoops! But since I had already put the ink down, I decided to plow on and see what would come of it. And Wow – this worked! More info below the video…..Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

A note about this Bristol – I just now saw, as I was writing this post, that this particular bristol is retiring. Phooooooey! That’s what I get for letting it sit on the shelf. But if you’re a Distress Ink afficionado, you likely know what paper will work here. I also added the Strathmore Bristol to the list below and am ordering a pack to see if it works the same as this other Bristol that I used.

You may also have noticed a new white spray bottle peek into the frame – that’s my new Tonic Nuvo bottles. I’m playing with that vs my Distress bottle, to see which I like better….so far this Tonic gives me a really helpful fine mist, but I’ll reserve judgement to try it with more projects, and will eventually let ya know.

Don’t forget the giveaway – participate by creating a card inspired in some way by one of today’s videos, and upload it using #wcmdwithsandy ! I have 18 cards to send out to random folks! 🙂 🙂 🙂
