I want you to do a little something. Just take a little time away from your OWH cards to make a card for one sick child.
I was linked to this post earlier this week..I’ll wait while you go read it. Take kleenex with you.
Welcome back! I thought our OWHers could help Matthew make his goal! Make a card and write a child-friendly note in it. Personally I recommend no glitter since it’s going to a hospital situation – wounds and glitter just aren’t friends! I’d especially love for our OWHers to tackle cards for little boys…lots of the crafters contributing will do girl-friendly ones with princesses, but the little boys might not get so much. So that’s what I tackled with my card!
The image is a digi from Digital Pencil Too – Mo Manning. What an artista she is! Copic colors:E53 E00 for the skin; sand is E43 and E50; Reds R59 and R27, yellows Y02 Y08 and Y38, blues B97 and B23. Whites are lightly shaded with C3 and C0. I added some fun to the sand with Pearl Pen! The yellow paper is by Tim and Beck – the owners of the [now closed] Sassafrass. I’m glad they’re keeping up designing things even if the company’s closed! I got this from my Studio Calico kit The star paper is a little leftover Pebbles.
The other part is to write a note IN it. I’m guessing kids would like notes that maybe tell them to feel better, but more ones that just say hi and make them smile. Maybe tell them a kid-friendly joke! I decided to send lil miss Ciara in mine….bet that’ll make some little boy happy!
On the envelope (leaving it unsealed), I’ll write “To a young man who loves dogs!” – and I’m going to include a card for Matthew too, still need to make that one. What a great mission for this young man to embark on. Let’s help him out!
I’m off to my stamp club today…wahooo!! So stoked. It’s been a while and I need my girltime! Hope you have a creative day too!
