Resumé

Sandy has been papercrafting since about 1994, though her life has been full of creativity since she drew constantly as a small child.

Sandy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Frostburg State University in 1986, and proceeded to work as a graphic designer at agencies in New York City, then as a designer and illustrator in the wearable arts industry in San Francisco, Montana, and Washington. In 2001 she returned to her love of marketing design, and currently works at a large international nonprofit organization.

Her papercrafting began to take more of her spare time as she served in ministries where those skills were needed, leading teams and teaching them how to create projects. Sandy’s activities eventually led to a blog in support of a rising passion: Operation Write Home. She founded the organization in 2007 and has grown it to become a million-dollar charity on a shoestring budget through social media alone. Her abilities as a technically savvy content creator have served the organization well – and  she loves every minute of it! From daily blog posts to YouTube vlogs and a weekly live webcast, her ability to pass on her graphic design knowledge have led to vast improvement by countless crafters across the nation and around the world.

Sandy’s desire to grow in her own skills and share her passion with others has led to partnerships with Operation Write Home and countless companies in the craft industry, and she has been sought out by companies as a resource to learn how to promote and grow their businesses in the social media realm. She’s also begun designing stamps not just as freebie digis – but as real red rubber! Sandy is excited to share her knowledge and help expand the profile of great products in the industry.
