R2C Day9: Making Thank You Cards

Making Thank You Cards

I decided to toss in thank you cards – because, well….don’t forget! Mama taught good manners – say thank you! Having some thank you cards done *before* Christmas would make it a lot easier to get around to writing those notes after Christmas day! You could also use these sweet little penguins for your Christmas cards, just nab a sentiment from a different set. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

The “trim” I added to the bottom is simple – a strip of a scrap of red paper, alongside two debossed lines made with my scoring tool!

The ribbon embellishment is threaded through two little holes – ant it only needed to be a knot, rather than a thick bow.

Today’s charity: one little boy

The family of Ryland Ward, 5, still in the hospital, is requesting YOUR Christmas card with $1 in it so they can fill his room with joy & buy him a Go-Kart. 🎅 Vroom!!! Send it NOW please!

  1. Did Ryland get his go-cart? Great idea to send sick children cards. When I was a little girl, I was in the hospital for many months. My 3rd grade teacher was smart enough to know the power of caring through cards. She had my class make me cards and I read those cards almost everyday. Forty years later, I still have those cards.

  2. Reminded me of the penguin card drive for OWH a while back. You always find such interesting ways to teach. Loved seeing the cool and warm side by side

  3. Fun card. I like the warm greys better for most things (never heard of the silly rule).

  4. adorable card!

  5. Another cute card and a great video tutorial, thanks !

  6. Lovely card ! These two little penguins are just so cute….

I love to play with the cool and warm grey’s. I also have the blue grey’s which are fantastic for the “blue” cats and dogs.

  7. I love them both. Thanks for the opportunity to spread cheer. I am from Canada but will pull out a U.S. dollar from my travel stash for little Ryland.

  8. Can’t decide which one I like best. Thanks for the example. So cute as usual!

  9. Such a sweet card.♡ IT!
