R2C Day6: Sweet Llama Christmas Card – Colored Pencil

Sweet Llama Christmas Card – Colored Pencil

Today I’ve got some coloring tips for you with colored pencils – and a darling simple llama card! Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

Today’s charity

When I think of llamas, one thing that comes to mind is a scarf I was given made from llama wool many years ago – so I think of the woman in South America who made it! Today I want to bring up an organization called Ten Thousand Villages – I’ve shopped in person at one of their retail locations before, and spent a bit of moolah over at their web store for this season. I’m certain you’ll find something there for that hard-to-shop-for person…something with a story behind it!

  2. Beautiful card ! Bookmarked this post to watch later.

  3. Lovely card ! I’ve got great pencils and love to use them, but I will need a lot of training to get such a fabulous result ! But I’ll get to it…. one day – LOL !

  4. Your llama is simply gorgous, I love it that you used color pencils this thime so I can learn a more about coloring with them.

  5. This is fantastic and makes me want to break out some coloured pencils. Lol

  6. Hi Sandy! I love it when you use colored pencils. Thanks for lots of wonderful tips!

  7. Wonderful card and love that you colored with pencils. Great seeing that coloring the background did lighten the llama.. I love your videos.. no I don’t want snow but now that I am retired I would appreciate it more vs. driving an hour to work and back. Merry Christmas to you and your family and those cute fur babies.

  8. Cute llama! Love the ribbon tied with twine. Need to remember that one. A couple of Christmas’s back our daughter and husband bought all their family gifts from Ten Thousand Villages. They carry some really unique and cool items. This year our family is forgoing gifts to each other and joining together to ‘grant wishes’ to a low income family. Really looking forward to shopping with our daughters this weekend! As for snow… to watch it coming down and making a winter wonderland in our yard ! Luckily I have retired so no longer have to worry about driving in it! 🙂

  9. That’s such a fun set of cards !!

  10. Love it. Who’d a thought a Llama would make such a cute Christmas critter. I know what you mean about liking snow…I do too and have been looked at like I was crazy but like you I stay at home. Thanks for sharing your card. Merry Christmas!

  11. Contrast is so amazing to me.I love the secret ways to achieve this. Thanks Sandy.

  12. Adorable! I could not resist buying a set of 36 Prismacolors on Blitsy yesterday (as well as a few othe items). At only $19.50 they were a real steal, including free shipping to Greece. It looks like Prismacolors work much better on Neenah than the Spectrum Noir pencils that I own. It will be interesting to see if that’s true. If I’m colouring with my SN pencils, I like to work on Sheena (Douglas) stamping card, which has more tooth to it.
