Quick Giraffe Card *And yes, they wear scarves.

Quick Giraffe Card *And yes, they wear scarves.

Sometimes a stamp set gives me the giggles. And makes me want to color it over and over! This little giraffe wants to be colored with all kinds of scarves and bow ties and ribbons – so you’re gonna wanna peek at my Instagram on occasion to see them. Ok well for the coming week at least. (LOL) For now – watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

Isn’t this the cutest lil giraffe!?!? Don’t leave me hanging out here alone…

Below are peeks at upcoming videos….and a few of them (2, 3, 4, 5, 8) will ALL post on one day: World Cardmaking Day on October 7th!! I’ll be choosing people to send halloween cards to on that weekend – I’ll choose from everyone who posts a card inspired in some way by the video techniques, so you’ll have to tune in and watch. They’ll go live every few hours…so it’ll be a little like crafting together all day, right!?!? Links to the sets are below if you want to use the set I did – or you can use other sets that you have that work for the technique.

  3. You did an amazing job on this card – in fact, now the stamp set is sold out EVERYWHERE! Here’s to hoping they get it in again – such a fun, happy image and sentiment set! 🙂

  4. My grandson is 12 and 6 feet tall. The family’s nickname for him is “Baby Giraffe.” I’m eager to get my hands on this stamp to make him a card as he begins as the tallest kid in his 7th grade in a new school. Hopefully the stamp will be available again soon. LOVE what you’ve done with this.

  5. Love this amazing giraffe! Thanks for sharing your wonderful video and your coloring tips!

  6. Oh how pretty is this card!

  8. I absolutely love this giraffe and I love scarves so this is perfect for me to give out to my favorite people. I also love realistic looking animals but spoofed up a little.

  10. Ahhhh, what a lovely face! Look at those eyes…..
You have done an awesome job as always. AND when I first saw the card I thought you had cut out paper and glued it on for the scarf :o)
What a fantastic job of design!

  11. Oh my goodness, this giraffe is adorable !!! Love her, the expression just makes me happy!!! And of course your coloring is wonderful!! Wouldn’t you just love to see a real giraffe with that adorable scarf on? Hugs to you!!!

  12. The giraffe is awesome Sandy. Thank you for sharing

  13. What a gorgeous and cute giraff. And yes, there are stamps that gives me giggles also!
I love the video with al of your tips and enjoy watching them every time, thanks for making the world a little colourful.

  14. Sandy, I too enjoy realistic stamped animals & I’m in love with this giraffe. I can’t believe the depth and detail you achieved in such a short time on this image. I think the scarf adds a whimsical touch without going too, “cutesy-cutesy.” There is a time and a place for cutesy, but realistic and/or whimsical is more often my style. Thanks for showing how you finished off the bottom of the giraffe as I may want to stamp him/her without a scarf at all.

  15. Well, you nailed it as usual – that is one seriously CUTE giraffe – but you kept calling it a “he” – look at those eyes – I’m pretty sure it’s a girl giraffe… just sayin’! I also love Impression Obsession – and have been buying their stamps for years and years and years…. and I’m gonna have to go buy this one too!
Great tips on coloring shadows, by the way – always good to have that info re-impressed in my noggin!
    Thanks!
