Today I’ve got my first May Arts video…I’m so nervous and excited!
I actually missed the launch on the May Arts blog
Go leave comments over there! I didn’t know what day it’d be, so I was waiting, and it went up yesterday. Eeeps! Oh well. You can still go see it of course!
This is the fastest from assignment-to-finish that I think I’ve done…especially when I opened my packet of Our Craft Lounge goodies and gasped at the glittery Sparkly Fluff! Ha. Seems the craft universe is conspiring against me…I have another glitter tutorial coming up for someone else that I’ll be working on this weekend, yikes! It took me several crafting sessions of just staring at it before I worked out a card to do.
Anyway – this card is *still* acceptable for OWH. The glittery substance is perfectly captured under plastic, so won’t be making messes on any heroes’ uniforms…however, if you use Sparkly Fluff or other glittery products, be very careful – things all over your craft space can be contaminated! (I did this on the dining room table to keep my normal creative space glitter-free.) But overall, Sparkly Fluff isn’t nearly as much a ‘shedder’ as I suspected it would be – my dining room isn’t covered in sparklies.
Here’s a still of the finished card…

And….all the goodies I used to make the card:

That’s an absolutely amazing card!
Yes, absolutely I would send this card to my honey. It is nicely masculine – not frilly or ‘light weight’ at all. Neat idea with the ribbon. Thanks.
By the way, you need a May Arts linky on your site like the others (i.e., Hero, SRM, etc.)!!
What a fabulous card! I always learn so much from you.
Love your card! Great instructions. I love the “gravy boat”.
I, too, used to make a “gravy boat” in my mashed potatoes. Good to have a way to control and cover the glitter for cards for OWH.
AWESOME card… LOVE the EKG line… super creative!! YES, it is definitely a very masculine card… especially with red & black!! Excellent tutorial too with very clear instructions & links to items that you used… thank you!!
God bless & big hugs… Tracy
SPOT on a very nice and creative card – perfect to send to your sweatheart. As always your instructions are super. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your first May Art video – keep them coming…. Hugs =0)
Great card, Sandy. Yes, it’s still masculine and I’d send it to my hubby in a heartbeat! Love how you used the May Arts ribbon on it’s side to accent the EKG spikes. Fantastic!!!
Sandy, LOVED this card. I would certainly say you could use this as a masculine card. Looking forward to more videos.
