MWT Color Challenge for Dad

Apr 23, 2012 by

I’m so terrible about keeping up with challenges – even on the S&S blog! I think it’s because I try to get ahead on blogging, so my schedule fills up with cards without a window to fill in. Well, I displaced a bunch of posts this week so I could post some cards and play along with challenges! This one’s for the Midweek Throwdown challenge to use Brown and Turquoise…perfect for a Father’s Day card, I say! And I need ‘em, so I’m crankin’ em out as quick as I can right now.

The motorcycle image is one that’s by Stampers Best – and the cool part about Dad cards is that guys don’t worry so much over coloring, so the stamp is just by itself on kraft. The brads were light blue, so I colored them a little with a Copic.

Products used:

  • Tire paper: Karen Foster
  • Motorcycle stamp: Stampers Best
  • Sentiment: The Paper Company, from a fishing set (Sorry, tried to find a link….their site hasn’t been updated since summer 2010??)

  2. I have that stamp!! I forgot all about it! Terrific card – love that background tire tread paper. The pop of turquoise just brightens the whole card. Thanks for playing in our Midweek Throwdown Challenge at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps!

RRRRUMBLE!!! We’re about to have a Bike Fest where I live…this year they are expecting 300,000 bikers. The whole place just RUMBLES for 4 days. Love the background paper for this, just perfect. Also like the color combo.
