Magnetized Clean Color Pen Bookmarks

If your kids are anything like me when I was a kid – bookmarks make reading more FUN! And with a magnetized bookmark, the fun is amped up even more!

Magnetized Bookmark – with Clean Color Pens

The idea behind these bookmarks isn’t mine – I made these in a ministry eons ago, and thought of them when looking at that long strip of scrap left over when I trimmed down my 9×12 watercolor papers! I use lots of those scraps for color swatches, technique testing, etc – but I folded one in half and it reminded me of the bookmarks! Since it’s summer and kids need encouragement to read, maybe this is a little project you’ll want to do, too. The kids can even paint their own! Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

Sketches & Colors

Since we now have a bunch of small images on strips, what to do with them…..? I figured I’d share some CAS Sketches! The color panels on some of these were made by using other scraps of watercolor paper, and using the same Clean Color Pens on them so they’d be all matchy matchy! Below the sketches are pics of the pieces I colored – and in the captions the colors are listed.

  6. Love the bookmark scrap idea. Plenty of scraps to make quite a few for sure. Another great video and idea.

  7. I thought this was pretty cute, but then at the end, I LOVE how you did that card sketches. I usually make something and then have to figure out how to put it on a card to look “right”, but I love how you just made a plan to work around your scraps. Now I feel like I can just color something and not have o worry about how it will go into a card. Goes very well with the 30 day coloring challenge- which now I’m wishing I did. :). Thanks for sharing!

  8. Kids and adults will enjoy these.

  9. Sandy, you make me smile! Love these projects and the tips on how to use up scraps. Can’t wait to make a few for my family!

  10. Fantastic! I love all of them! Great idea for the magnetized bookmarks! I really enjoyed your video! Thank you!
