I got this really fun Squeaky Clean stamp set from Paper Smooches a while back – and I’m finally inking it up! This washing machine image was colored simply with greys and reds, and I wanted to give the card that “vibrating” thing that my washer does, so I decided to play with some chevron papers from Crate Paper’s Pier line. I layered the top one, the simpler one, because putting the chevron on the chevron just got visually messy til I did that. The red and black layers behind the main panel also anchored that on the card too, so it didn’t feel like it was a vibrating disaster 🙂
I wanted to create a focal point on that washer – while it and the sentiment do pop against that bold large chevron, I added small detail – bubbles! They’re just punched pieces…a part of a cloud, some holepunches, and a heart.
Copic colors: C6 C3 C1 R24 R37 R89 I really like how the white pen highlights make the buttons and the glass window shine, too!
Have a fabbbbbbulous Tuesday, my friends!!
