Labor Day VCMP!

Hey gang! I actually did get around to making a couple of the VCMP challenges. And you’d think since I had access to the list of what they were, I’d have done them ahead! ha! Well nope, not quite. I’ve been so busy lately that I didn’t even look at the list til things went live this morning….and was so bummed I had such a long to-do list!

First I tackled an easy one for me, the ODBD challenge to use a sentiment/Scripture verse on a card. I have a ton stamped in a drawer, so all I had to do was pick out one and some paper! This is from Authentique – I’m slowly getting through my 6×6 pad, I really should use the tutorial from S&S and make my way through all these pads!

Next up – Cherie’s recipe challenge! 1 image, 2 papers, sentiment with 3 words! I went to my box of precolored images and found this little SU robot that actually came with a sentiment with three words :) Papers are from a Basic Grey 6×6,

And….snow but not Christmas was offered up by Cindy…and I’ve had this little pack of diecuts for a while, and finally busted it out; I’m famous for hoarding something til the season’s over, then I get to hang onto it. But no, not this one – used it! Well, except for 2 other sentiments. “Cocoa” and “mittens.” Uhm yeah. Gotta work on those. Agh.

This was my fave tonight….the western/cowboy challenge from Sandy. I had a partial sheet of these cowboy rubons from October Afternoon, and a little of this OA paper too. The line’s called Sasparilla – how perfect is that? The cowboy was placed on Kraft and then distressed, so it looks a bit like leather. Sentiment from Waltzingmouse. Ribbon, of course – May Arts!
